Perversely, while others groan as they head off to work, Monday is one of the bigliest, bestest days for the pond, because it provides a chance to have a warm milk with a fragrant cookie ...
Mixed with juices of paranoia and hysteria, and blather about western civilisation, this makes the perfect smoothie ...
Phew, that's so ripe and rich and paranoid fear-mongering that the pond felt the need for a few jokes ...
By golly, put an Oreo behind the keyboard and she blazes away better than anyone armed with an Uzi or an Avtomat Kalashnikova ...
Any passing shrink might look at this and see the same sort of fundamentalist barking mad rhetoric as that deployed by the barking mad fundamentalist jihadists ... with both sets of rhetorical ranting seeming to spring from the same curious mix of insecurity and delusion ...
The funniest thing here?
So many, not least the desire to outsource everything to Israel ...
So many, not least the desire to outsource everything to Israel ...
But for the pond being into words, it has to be the Oreo's mention of "misanthropic faith", especially if it's agreed that the word is about showing a general hatred, distrust or contempt ...
Mention "liberal" or "progressive" or a bunch of other words, and the Oreo goes barking mad troppo, and sits out on the porch howling at the moon ... in the very same spirit of "misanthropic faith" she deplores in others
The pond supposes that some with a pedantic tendency might prefer the talk of Nuremberg trials, which were war crime trials arising from an actual declaration of war, as opposed to an amorphous set of battles against a non-state (unless the delusional pretensions of Daesh to statehood and caliphate are allowed, to what avail?)
All the same, the pond welcomes the Oreo's talk of war crime trials of a Nuremberg kind, and looks forward to her joining others in calling for appropriate trials for war criminals such as George W. Bush (declaring war here), Tony Blair and John Howard. This trio no doubt deserve to spend an appropriate amount of time in one of Australia's luxury prisons, enjoying a wondrous level of accommodation where the living is fantastically easy. It's possibly so much better than life in the outside world that they might never want to leave ...
Meanwhile, an actual state with paws on nukes and delivery systems postures and poses and fires off rockets every so often.
Oh never mind, there's no room for rationality here, nor much of a chance that the Oreo might focus on issues such as North Korea. Instead we have Oreo the jihadist, getting agitated like a jumping bean about other jihadists...
What a fine jihadist she makes ...or at least a weird kind of jumping bean.

And now to the reward for sitting through another Oreo, and enduring the hysteria and the paranoia, and the deep insecurity, fear and loathing.
Everyone knows that when in the United States there's just one cry. Do you want cinnamon with that? Drum roll on paint lid please, sure thing ...
And if anyone wants to hook up with the pond, just wear one of these speciality lines in King Street Newtown ... someone is sure to notice a loyal Oreo devotee ...
The pond suggests the hoodie is the right look for the wild streets of Newtown ...
Just think of it as a way of getting into the method acting favoured by the Newtown School of Performing Arts, where you too can enjoy Stanislavski, Meisner, and the movement training of Leban and Lecoq ... or just head off here to The New Yorker cartoons which have served as a fine distraction from the Oreo this day ...
Shorter Oreo - "Kill them all and let (Christian) God sort 'em out!"
ReplyDelete"...the cost of feeding, housing and clothing Prakash for the rest of his life could run into the millions." says The Oreole, and you know, I hate to say it but she just might have a point. Keeping somebody in prison costs about $300 per day in Australia - that's about $109,000 per annum per prisoner.
ReplyDeleteBut hold on, the Maj Mitch just said the other day that we "...opt for ever more spending financed by those few in society who actually pay for everything."
That's ok then, those wealthy folks that we've all come to rely on will pay for it all ! And just as well too, because a 30 year stretch would be about $3.3million.
