In which prattling Polonius and the bromancer take to the court while the onion muncher dukes it out ...

The pond is fully aware - cognizant, if anyone wanted to swallow a dictionary and have an argument about the use of "s" v. "zee" - of what it's missing out on by avoiding the Terror this day ...

There'd be more talk of Islamics, and a tough, resilient country. Well you can't break a taxi driver's arm if you're a weak-kneed pussy, can you?

The pond realises it thereby misses the chance to remind us of how some lead their tough, resilient lifestyle ...

Oh no matter how you cut it, that's doing it tough ... doing it hard, doing it resilient ...

How to avoid a nation of crocks and counsellors? Simple. Give everyone a parliamentary pension. That'd silence the whingers and the moaners and the whiners ...

Oh wait, does that explain the arm-breaker's stoic silence and refusal to indulge in narcissist attention-seeking?

Well it seemed like a good idea, but luckily there were other, more important and pressing matters for the pond to attend to.

These days, no one bothers covering Q and A ... it's what's said on 2GB that counts ...

By golly, he's photogenic. Is there any wonder he stays at the top of the pond page?

Could it be that the savvy Savva did have the inside word on Abbott's pre-selection and a campaign is underway to send the onion muncher munching off to a Mark Latham lifestyle?

And then there was the pressing matter of a full court defence ...

The pond was captivated. Here was an applicant who shared all the reptile concerns, fears and phobias. No doubt little Johnny and the reptiles would be gung ho in favour ...

Hmm, that's not as enthusiastic as the pond expected ... would the reptiles step up to the plate, so to speak, or would they foot fault themselves out of the game?

No matter what the outcome, the pond is pleased to see the lizards of Oz cultivating the fundamentalist Xians who form such an essential part of their business plan going forward.

Can profitability be far away if they form a joint venture with Victory Life and speak in tongues to Australia?

And so to a correcting of the record.

The pond this morning ran a Caterist vision of the UK which was truly visionary. Play it hard with uni and cosmopolitan types and all would be well.

Strangely, the bromancer didn't share the vision and instead offered only nightmares, and dark, demonic fears ...

The Caterists, it will be recalled, saw an excellent future for May, provided Caterist sanity prevailed ... while the bromancer took a somewhat Catholic view of things ... as befits the Catholic Boys' Daily ...

Strange. The pond can vaguely remember prattling Polonius assuring the pond only last Saturday (here)  that Ireland, religion, the IRA, the Catholic church, the proddies and the whole damn thing didn't mix, and it was all a secular stitch-up ...

And this ...

And so on ... but surely the bromancer wasn't going to suddenly re-introduce religion to Ireland?

It would surely make prattling Polonius very cross and might even lead to his dog taking a chunk out of the bromancer's leg this Friday  ...

The pond loves it when the reptiles have a domestic ... but frankly was deeply shocked by the negativity of the bromancer, which was down there with the onion muncher.

The reptiles surely couldn't leave the matter there, and happily there was a bright Tory who rode in to to sing along with 'always look on the bright side of life' ...

Oh well it might have been Ian Dury and the Blockheads rather than the Pythons, but the pond is always up for a Tory Blockhead ...

The pond felt a wave of euphoria sweeping through its veins, as if filled to overflowing warm beer, and an eerie sense of an elegant Tory sitting down to a meal of kippers, while keeping a watchful ear out for the first cuckoo of spring ...

This Ridders chappie is the real climate denialist deal, and to hell with John Oliver and his cheap celebration of Lord Buckethead ...

Let the good times flow ...

Ah the joys of governing in company with young earth creationist, and homophobes. Sounds just about right for your average climate science denialist ...

Yes, the brave, plucky lad knows how to clutch at straws, and the other brave, plucky lad did even better than the loony party ...

Sad to say, all this fuss about the British is distracting from much fun elsewhere ...

The pond has to rely on David Rowe to keep it up to speed, with more speedy Rowe here ...

  1. Surprise surprise, the Zimmerman (sinnerman) is part of the quadrant/ipa/spectator nexus.

    2. But we do remember, at the urging of Janette, Howard's last attempt at appointing a "good Christian" to public office. And we know how that worked out, don't we. And I think maybe John Winston does too, now.

  2. "When you are complacent and over-confident, you normally get punished, and that's what happened" said Abbott.

As my eye skipped through the article, I initially assumed he was referring to his own knee-capping. Silly me, he was referring to another short-lived failed stop-gap leader who'd filled a vacuum for a little while.

God help the British if they get to hear as much from May as we do from the Onion-muncher-in-Chief!
