Is there any better way to start a TGIF than with a Pope, with more papal encyclicals here?
Well for some time now the pond has cultivated a TGIF taste for Tabloid Sharri, a proven hit with elderly gentleman readers still angry and in mourning over the loss of page three features in tabloid land ...
Sharri is an expert barometer, a sure guide to the frigid cold, the tumescent humidity, and all the other weather events that afflict any Liberal who dares to shows signs of humanity.
This day it's gorgeous George who's been sent to the outdoor dunny to use the tree killer Terror for toilet paper and to repent his many sins ...

This day it's gorgeous George who's been sent to the outdoor dunny to use the tree killer Terror for toilet paper and to repent his many sins ...
Poor George. There was a time when everyone in Murdochian la la land was heiling him ...
It seems so long ago, so impossibly ancient, though nostalgia buffs can do a Greg Hunt at the Graudian here and the ABC here ...
But those glorious days are long gone, and still the perfidious, wretched Triggs prods at, and provokes, the reptiles ...
Oh the shameless hussy, but luckily Sharri is on hand to set matters right, and to chastise in a very severe way the supine gorgeous George ...
Oh and to use terror to hype up a bit of the good old fear ...
Now the last time the pond checked, there weren't that many signs that extremists were welcome to enter the country and dwell amongst us ...
But let the pond say right here and now it has no trouble with extremists who want to enter the country and work for News Corp.
Sure they often want to blow things up and don't have the first clue about much of anything, but even though it's a big risk to peace and tranquility in the herpetarium, the Surry Hills bunker and the land, it's a risk we must take if we value freedom of speech, and the freedom to be a bigot ...
And now with that declaration of principle established, we can move on to the feature that always pleases the elderly gentleman reader ...
Ah yes, forget the bear, there it is ...
Now the pond can hear the cry of pain and bewilderment of the odd stray feminist, but really it's just an opportunity to be reminded of Sharri's brave work at Cleo ...
Sad.
More at the HUN here, though it might be paywalled and require googling ...
Does everything she touch turn to dullard dross and a generous dose of paranoia?
Never mind, it's time to get back to the fear and the loathing and the demonisation and that bear hiding in the wood pile ...
How the reptiles can't get enough of the burqa business, though whether it's burqa or burka remains a matter of fierce debate ...
But if they ban the burka, can people still wear a burqa?
Of course the one thing very few of the reptiles address is, if they ban the burk(q)a, will they also ban other offensive forms of religious garb worn in public, and while they're at it, just to please the pond, get rid of religiously affiliated school chaplains, a few of whom are Islamic?
As a secular atheist it wouldn't be any skin off the pond's nose if all religious symbols were banned, but ad hoc picking on one religion over another is sure to create a sense of injustice and grievance.
But the pond suspects that's the business the reptiles are in, and when not picking pets and demonising one minority while ignoring the fundamentalist bigots at work in other minorities, they spend their days moaning, and whining and carping ... with gorgeous George the latest victim ...
Indeed, indeed. What we need is an official list of the citizenry, perhaps kept in gigantic filing cabinets or online, noting which of the traitorous, treasonous wretches are dual or perhaps even triple citizens, and therefore deeply suspect, and requiring intense monitoring ...
At worst it might help the National party keep track of the Italians and Kiwis in their midst ...
Uh oh, the pond can sense a certain restlessness in the readership. Have there been too many photos of the demonic gorgeous George and not enough of Sharri?
There, and no more complaints as we move on to another shot of the demonic one, and the last gobbet of Sharri dishing it out to the beast ...
You see, the filthy wretch, the vile traitor amazingly attracted applause from those dangerous greenies, and the deadly Marxists ...
And there you have it. One Nation is a legislative constructive legend, and now they might do over the Kiwi, distracted by his love of sheep and rugger buggers, and it's all the fault of gorgeous George ...
And that's what passes for political analysis on a Friday at the Terror ...
Sure enough, Sharri's supporters knew how to respond and what to say ...
The whole furphy builds quite nicely to Rowe's latest chipper cartoon ... with more Rowe here ...
For some strange reason, Sharri always reminds the pond of The Diary of a Nobody, available at Project Gutenberg here ...
The pond still can't work the connection out. Was it painting the terrorist stick a dark colour yet again, in a bold bid to elicit sympathy for gorgeous George from the pond, with the black stick a metaphor for the black burqa?
Or was it simply that she's a bigger fool than she looks, only that's absolutely impossible ...
Sharri: "It has become too politically correct to forcefully demand that hard-core Wahhabi Islamists not be let into our country ..."
ReplyDeleteOh wau, Sharri is going to lead the reptiles in a campaign to close all the Saudi Arabian embassy and consular offices in Australia.
I just can't wait to see that !
Let's not forget those fellow travellers with the hard-core Wahhabists GB ... Chairman Rupert must never be let into the country again ...
DeleteVery good point, DP, especially since Roopie is a dual citizen ! (Why are dual citizens allowed to own 70% of the country's media though they're not allowed to be elected into federal parliament ?)
