In which nattering "Ned" delivers the usual Saturday afternoon nap ...

The thing about nattering "Ned" * (*use of the term "editor-at-length" is the subject of legal proceedings and may only be used by licensed vendors, though "interminable tedious bore" is out of copyright and available as public domain) is that he's a great pond favourite ...

Now this is not without some sacrifices as other reptiles come and go ... look how Lloydie took to talking about Tesla ...

...  because coal-fired steam power is the first thing to leap to good old Lloydie's mind, right?

And there's the bromancer, always on hand with the bleeding obvious ...

"They could yet do him harm"? Yes, it seems that on planet bromancer, Donald Jr has yet to work his magic ...but might yet do the Donald harm ...

But back to nattering "Ned" and why he blows these blowhards away ... you see, "Ned" likes to talk dirty, "Ned" likes to talk revolution ...

Learning to resist? To the barricades comrades ...?

Poor old "Ned". He probably doesn't understand that learning to resist Donald Trump also involves learning to resist Fox News, Hannity, Tucker Carlson, News Corporation, The Australian and all the other reptiles down under, and indeed the Chairman himself ...

... but being "Ned", and a revolutionary bear of little analytical brain, he'll natter on at great length exposing his ignorance ...

And besides, just to cement his status as pond favourite, there's certain to be a Chicken Little moment, without the chicken realising that it was the Chairman who put the cat amongst the pigeons ...

Yep, there it is, that Chicken Little moment, the dawn of a new and more dangerous age ... and never mind that that age dawned quite some time ago ...

Of course if the pond is right, then the economic and cultural malaise spread by the Murdochians is deep and will take many years to rectify, and the disruption in politics will far outlast the Chairman's time at the helm of News Corp ...

The problem certainly won't be solved by silly old codgers like nattering "Ned" who think they're helping analyse the situation, when in reality they're at the heart of the empire of what went wrong ...

Is "Ned" completely disconnected and unaware of the slavering of the US Murdochians? It would seem so, it would seem that "Ned" thinks revolution best grows in a Murdochian vacuum ...

Does Chairman Rupert represent an aberration that will be corrected in four or eight years time or will the aberration represent a permanent shift into right wing loonacy?

Actually the pond only asks these rhetorical questions as a way of providing little interstitials, where people can pause for a few deep breaths. Trudging along with nattering "Ned" is always a difficult, onerous and tedious task, with few insights and only the most ironic of laughs ...

Look at the grand, sententious manner in which nattering "Ned" announces that he has concluded, after due and weighty consideration, of all matters to hand, that the Donald might have ... a character problem.

Gasp, say it isn't so ...

Oops, sorry, the pond hadn't meant to do a pussy-groping joke, it had meant to do a throw to the next ponderous, portentous nattering "Ned" gobbet ...

Oh dear, this is all terribly solemn and serious. Could we just have a billboard?

It's just that nobody seems to have told Fox News, Fox and Friends, Hannity, Tucker, the Chairman, and all the rest of the Donald devotees, fearful that they might be out-righted by the Breitbarts of the world, fearful that they might be out-maddened and out-righted by the Alex Jones of the world ...

Talk about fucked ... it's clear that poor old "Ned" doesn't have the first clue about the rich cultural traditions that spawned the Donald ...

Never mind, there's just one last gobbet of the silly old bugger trying to understand, and grasping for hope ,,,

Well there is one other thing that might be a prudent stance for Australians ... send News Corp into bankruptcy, or risk Fox and Friends, Hannity and the like urging the Donald on to even greater follies ...

And so to note some cartoons about the twitter mania that the Chairman has helped produce in the United States ...

... and hasn't Rowe been doing a fine job of it, with more Rowe here ...on Twitter of course ...

And as a result of this madness, how many GOPers and Murdochians have rushed to join Abe?

Sorry, they're still there ... still turning up on Fox for games of softball ... and still being moronic on Hannity ... as one commentator said,  with the latest effort being Sesame Street for right wing idiots... perhaps "Ned" should get into the sandbox with the rest of the Murdochian children and catch up on a little Fox viewing ...

  1. Hi Dorothy,

An interesting article on Trump's previous business dealings and his close ties with the wild, wild East.

    1. Great link DW. More Americans need to see it. I just googled Russian mafia infiltration into USA 1980 late last week ...and what a hoot. Some of the Congressional hearings alone make you see just how asleep at the wheel the people in charge really were.
The Russian mafia would agree with that old adage from Kerry Packer.......
You only get one Donald Trump in your lifetime!
