The pond makes no apology …
It had a backlog of cartoons, it hadn't filled its quota, and the pressure from the back office to deal with the glut was enormous.
And there was grumbling and muttering that, while failing to spend enough quality time with the flailing, failing fake news of the lizard Oz, the pond had also spent too little time in the company of futtocks of the first water.
Lo, who should come along to save the day …
… though perhaps more a fuckwit of the first water …
Nut beggars can't be choosers and while the rest of the reptiles are fixated on Malware and his misfortunes, the dog botherer fancies his chances on the world stage - and why not, as a minor war criminal in the Iraq matter? Why shouldn't he get out and about, and take the side of the Donald?
Now the pond doesn't want to debate anything when idle abuse is more the style required, when dealing with a dog botherer futtock fuckwit of the first water.
Besides, the pond knows the song sheet for this sort of thing … the Donald might be reprehensible, but he's my kind of bigoted reprehensible, and besides, the ABC …and remember climate … always with the climate… but sssh, don't call it a science, it's just alarmism …
It's always a litany of whinging, whining, snivelling complaints about how the world does the dog botherer and his causes down …full of paranoia and a persecution complex down there with the Donald ... and the pond constantly feels the urge to tell the whining wretch to harden the fuck up ...
Best not, best to just get on with the cartoon clearance ...
Did the pond mention its contempt for the Murdochian media, and the groupthink that comes from the koolaid they have on tap in their 'leet inner city Sydney eerie HQ?
Possibly a zillion times, but it's not really a patch on the contempt that the pond has for the dog botherer and his predictable fatuities ...
This is not to excuse people such as Anning?
Of course it's not to excuse Anning, because rabid bigots always get agitated when their rabid bigotry is picked up and amplified by even more rabid bigots and it's just not fair for him to play the game that way …
There were the reptiles having a fine old time bashing the Sudanese, and then bloody Anning took their ball and ran with it, and what do you know, some of them even had to pretend that they were all for multiculturalism and there wasn't a bigoted bone in their body … because they were having a sober and serious conversation, albeit larded up with loads of good old-fashioned white Australian nationalism ...and suddenly the jig was up, and it was just so excruciating and unfair …
Oops, time for a few more cartoons …
And now, did the dog botherer mention the ABC, with pursed lips and an intolerance of anyone who disagrees with him?
What astonishes the pond is the way that the dog botherer can keep on churning this sort of one-eyed commentary out week in, week out. It explains why the pond has no interest in discussing football with anyone at any time …
Once you get a one-eyed bigot howling at the moon, it's almost like seeing an enemy of the people in action …
Phew, the pond has made good progress clearing the backlog, and the ABC's been covered, and there's been nary a word about the rampant loonacy of News Corp… why not even a single mention of the triumph of defeating communist Japan …
Hang on a tic, half a 'mo, did we forget the climate? Where's the climate?
Uh huh.
But who holds to account the righteous, delusional, up-themselves pious prigs in Murdoch la la land, as they parade their enthusiasm for the Donald's causes, mount attacks on the ABC, and dismiss climate science as alarmism?
Sadly, all the pond's got is a few cartoons, but hey, at least it's clearing the decks on the Titanic …
Doggy Bov: "This week the ABC invited on to Q&A provocative US pastor Cornel West, who suggested Trump coud be on trajectory to becoming another Hitler or Mussolini. Host Tony Jones did not challenge or admonish him."
ReplyDeleteNo, Doggy, Tony was just allowing West to exercise his right to "free speech" as he's been lectured incessantly about by his Murdochian betters. You're winning, boyo; free speech is now everybody's "right".
But I do wonder where Kenny got the bit about West being a "pastor". West himself makes no mention of it on his website other than having at one time taught at Union Theological Seminary, Yale. But maybe that's enough to qualify him as a "pastor": http://www.cornelwest.com/bio.html#.W3fEV8J9i00
