Apropos of the Papal insight above, it's fallen to the reptiles in recent times to cluck with alarm about the red-headed vision from the north ...

Look, there it is on the right hand side ... "Wacky world view of Senate hopeful ..."

As if climate denialism is somehow special to the red-headed one's team, as opposed to say, in no particular order, Andrew Bolt, George Christensen, Cory Bernardi, or Dame Slap, adopting the Monckton line that climate science is a front for UN plans to install a world government ...

When you read the fruitcake from the north's views, they seem entirely at one with everything that you might find in a member of the Murdochian commentary ...

When you look up the Galileo Movement, you'll be reminded that its patron is Alan Jones and that amongst its advisors it counts departed favourites Bob Carter and Ian Plimer, and current favourites Jo Nova, Des Moore and Viscount Monckton ...

How is this loon any different to Dame Slap's loonery, considered so important in the world of Murdochians that it was recycled in the WSJ?

And so on and so forth. Alan Jones, Lord Monckton ...

You could multiply by hundreds, by thousands, the references to conspiracies in the Bolter, little Timmie, and the rest of the News Corp commentariat, not least that great climate scientist Moorice. Dame Slap's outing just happens to be a pond favourite (there's more of it if you google).

In this context, the loon from the north's views are unexceptional, quite mainstream, at least in the sense of being quite Murdochian ...

These are your children News Corp commentariat. 

If not wanting to honour them, at least recognise them, rather than pretend they are bastard children roaming in an ideological wilderness,  especially as now some are bound for the Senate.

Much the same happened at the Daily Terror. It goes without saying that over the years the Terror has peddled Islamophobia, fear, hate and division ...

                           

And so on and on and endlessly forth, and the Terror isn't the only one in the News Corp stable doing it ...

But then we get this sort of piquant post-modernist, post-ironic indignation ...

The Terror seemingly felt so alarmed it broke the thoughts of Brian out into a box while wrapping in him in the first and last refuge of the scoundrel ...

But that talk of bludgers is just par for all the Murdochian tabloids ...

                         

In fact, you could fit the thoughts of Brian into a Terror editorial or a Bolter blog quite easily ...

But how is this any different to the rabid Bolter frothing and foaming at the end of one column full of hate and fear ...

Sheesh, who'd have thought the Bolter could channel the thoughts of Brian?

And so on and endlessly on. The pond could multiply the examples like loaves and fishes, but to what point ...

Yes, it is difficult to pick the difference between satire and right-wing loonery.

Whether it's George Christensen on halal and climate science, or Cory Bernardi on gay marriage and bestiality, One Nation will sit comfortably besides the right wing loons in Murdoch la la land, and the Liberal and National parties ...

So let's not have any clucking or tut-tutting.

Let's celebrate a job well done in radicalising the land ... oh, and more Fairfax cartoons here ...
