ReplyDeleteWell I really have no idea who or what Tehan is classing as "empowered minorities" or what he means by "political correctness", but that one is clear: challenging traditional beliefs and customs will have to be made illegal in order to protect religious freedom.

Ok, so it doesn't licence churches to illegally discriminate against LGBTI folk. Or anybody else. That is good to know.

Ok, so I get it: a 'religious freedom' law would allow you to go away and believe in your religion any way you like so long as other people aren't in any way imposed on - even if those other people are supposedly members of your religion. Oh, I can't wait to see how all those religious organisations that impose their 'traditional beliefs' on everybody (and especially on schoolkids) respond to that one.
