The Donald wouldn't distract the pond, would he ...

Given all the fun of the reptile fair this day, the pond wouldn't want to be distracted by copper and Lloydie, would it?

And good old Mattie's joke about vegan graziers simply reminded the pond of another Kudelka cartoon that slipped through the paywall …

It wouldn't be time for a cartoon-led recovery, would it?

Yep, it's time to throw Montenegro under the bus …

Take it away WSJ ...

Why would constant criticism of NATO undermine public support?

We all know those Montenegrins are very difficult, very aggressive people, and deserve everything they get …

Never mind, the pond is feeling cartoon restored, please do go on ...

Hmm, a mixed report card, even for the WSJ … and so to the lizard Oz editorialist …

Fails publicly to stand up to? But he did stand alongside …

Sadly there's a price to pay for a cartoon-led recovery, and that's having to pay attention to the lizard Oz editorialist ...

Did the reptiles just kick the can down the road?

They wouldn't do that, would they?

Surely the results were clear cut ...

  1. That "Wrecking Ball Don" article in the digital spread appears to display the Oz's usual standard of popular culture accuracy. Keith Moon of The Who was renowned for trashing hotel rooms; Keith Richards was better known for getting busted for drugs in them. Still, it's nice to see the reptiles fumbling efforts to attract a younger audience - well, an audience that was relatively youthful in 1968, perhaps......

Also, what's with the WSJ's weird ideas of what constitutes "strength" in a leader? How is appointing a judge conservative judge whose ideology suits your purposes in the knowledge that there'll be no effective opposition a "strong appointment"? How is stumbling through Europe abusing your allies and mumbling lies and nonsense a sign of strength? To the best of my knowledge, dictionary definitions of "strength" generally don't reference bluster, bullying and bullshit.

  2. DTrump: “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters.”

And certainly none amongst the fawning reptiles of the WSJ. But then, Dame Snap seems totally silent about Trump these days; about the same as she is over Monckton, so I guess he may not need to actually shoot somebody [but how would he be sure that the people he shoots aren't Trump voters that he's just lost ?].
