And so to an arm twist for reptile specialists ...

And so to the savvy Savva for the day, reserved to the late arvo slot for specialist reptile observers … and that's for obvious reasons.

While the wily Savva has been blessed with cult Lobbecke status, only an extremely devoted reptile loyalist could make their way to the end of this communique from the desk of the PM …

It's basic, fundamentalist, elemental … and your average loyal reptile devotee could chant the mantra in his or her sleep.

Comrade Bill bad, Malware very good, with a little token window-dressing to suggest balance (in much the same way that the Tamworth butcher smiled while liberally applying a thumb to the scale).

So far so good … take to the Lion at the helm with a sharp stick, and then go on to make the obvious connection that Comrade Bill is just as bad …

Sure it's conflating and confusing, but that's the whole point of the publicist's art. Don't worry about the quality or nature of the mud, just fling it about and some of it's sure to land …

The lion at the helm and comrade Bill? Peas in a pod ...

As for Malware? Sure, he might have folded like the brown paper bag the Tamworth butcher used for offal when it came to standing up to Nauru, sure the GST plan is a bit wonky, sure Centrelink is an online disaster zone (head off to the UK to read about it),  sure the NBN is a basket case because of gamers - offers for the pond's harbour bridge now open - and so on … but everyone knows that a communique from the PM's office can't go there …

Comrade Bill's only chance for salvation if the Savva decides to give the onion muncher an equal opportunity hard time ...

Nope, forget the onion muncher, this day it's all hands on deck to deal with the tricky and shifty Comrade Bill, while Malware stands by to call an election and march forward to victory … with an implicit ringing endorsement right at the end of the communique ...

And so to a cartoon celebrating brave lion heart Malware … thanks to Cathy Wilcox, with more celebratory Wilcox here

And as the Lion at the helm, who was mentioned in the PM's communique, how about a Wilcox tip of the hat to him and his cohorts?
