In which the Killer makes a remarkable discovery and Dame Groan conducts her ritual Tuesday mass of groans ...

The pond woke today to news of the Robodebt inquiry and realised just how much it had been disappeared, vanished by the lizard Oz mob ...

There are stories out there for googling and quite recent too ...

Make of them what you will ...

But at the lizard Oz, it's the 'sort of' royals and the bromancer blathering about Xi at the top of the digital page ...

Usually the pond would indulge the bromancer in his Xi obsession - deploring the autocrat is about the only thing the pond has in common - but what about other autocrats? The pond woke to news of the latest terror campaign by the sociopathic Vlad the Terrible, but he too seems to have fallen off the reptile twig, though it gets reported on elsewhere...

Never mind, the pond is inured to living in the reptile la la land bubble for a brief time each morning.

The commentary was also dull, with the lizard Oz editorialist acting as stocking filler ...

Never mind that the BBC was reporting that oil prices were rising while the lizard Oz editorialist was proposing that we might ignore the war and limit the damage ...

It was all too depressing, so there was nothing for it, but to look for lighter moments by indulging the Killer, making the startling discovery that the mango Mussolini might be a bit on the nose ...

Uh huh, but it wouldn't be a real reptile story if Killer didn't show some anxiety about not being able to show Hunter Biden's cock pix ...

But for that angle you have to head off to The Bulwark and Tim Miller and forgive the pond for quoting at length, but there's more at the link, and it's way better than Killer ...

While normal humans who denied Republicans their red wave were enjoying an epic sports weekend, an insular community of MAGA activists and online contrarians led by the world’s richest man (for now) were getting riled up about a cache of leaked emails revealing that the former actor James Woods and Chinese troll accounts were not allowed to post ill-gotten photos of Hunter Biden’s hog on a private company’s microblogging platform 25 months ago.
Now if you are one of the normals—someone who would never think about posting another person’s penis on your social media account; has no desire to see politicians’ kids’ penises when scrolling social media; doesn’t understand why there are other people out there who care one way or another about the moderation policies surrounding stolen penis photos; or can’t even figure out what it is that I’m talking about—then this might seem like a gratuitous matter for an article. Sadly, it is not.
Because among Republican members of Congress, leading conservative media commentators, contrarian substackers, conservative tech bros, and friends of Donald Trump, the ability to post Hunter Biden’s cock shots on Twitter is the number-one issue in America this weekend. They believe that if they are not allowed to post porno, our constitutional republic may be in jeopardy.
I truly, truly wish I were joking.
Here’s a synopsis for the blessedly uninitiated:
On Friday, Elon Musk promised to reveal “what really happened with the Hunter Biden story suppression by Twitter.” It turns out that he had provided a trove of internal corporate documents to the Tulsi Gabbard of Substack, Matt Taibbi, who said they amounted to a “unique and explosive story”—revealing the juicy details inside Twitter’s decision to suppress the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story, which had previously been rejected by such liberal outlets as Fox News and the Wall Street Journal due to its suspicious provenance. Taibbi agreed to divulge these private emails on Twitter itself rather than via his Substack as part of a “few conditions,” which he does not detail, that were imposed on him, presumably by Musk or a Musk factotum.
The documents Taibbi tweeted on Friday were titillating in the way that reading private correspondence revealing what people were really saying around a controversial subject always is, but nothing new was learned about the contours of the story. The leak mostly relitigates two facts that have already received much ink across the media: 1) How Twitter throttled the New York Post’s initial story about Hunter’s laptop based on what we now know was an incorrect assessment of its source; and 2) How political campaigns and government agencies have worked with social media companies—in this case Twitter—to flag troubling content.
On the first point, the emails confirm the essential consensus that has come into focus in reporting on the matter: Twitter got out over its skis on the ban and a typical corporate bureaucratic goat rope ensued as the company tried to “unfuck” the situation, as one employee put it. To say that this is not a new revelation would be an understatement given that Twitter’s former CEO Jack Dorsey admitted that this was a mistake over a year ago.
As such it was the latter point that drove the most hysterical discussion online on Friday.
The most retweeted installment in Taibbi’s thread (so far) was this, which purported to show the Biden campaign directing Twitter to delete specific tweets:
This supposed smoking gun resulted in Musk responding to his own journalistic stenographer on Twitter with a fire emoji and the comment “If this isn’t a violation of the Constitution’s first amendment, what is.” Musk was so impressed with this digital citizen’s arrest, that he made it his pinned tweet, after which the MAGA attaboys for Musky came hot and heavy.
Right-wing commentator Buck Sexton (real name), said this was a “bright red line violation” and that Biden should be IMPEACHED for it. Rep. James Comer (R-TN) was on Fox promising that everyone at Twitter involved with this would be brought before the House Oversight committee. Rep. Billy Long retweeted several MAGA influencers praising Elon for, among other things, “exposing corruption at the highest levels of society” (Projection Alert). Meanwhile Kari Lake hype man Pizzagate Jack Posobiec declared this the “biggest story in modern presidential election history,” claimed that “we can never go back to the country we were before this moment,” and donned this “a digital insurrection.”
In reality, all they really had was a digital erection.
The offending material that Taibbi revealed was removed by Twitter at the Biden campaign’s request turns out to have been a bunch of links to Hunter Biden in the buff.
There was a tweet from a Chinese account featuring a naked woman on top of Hunter Biden, as well as a family photo. Two pictures of Hunter Biden’s penis, one with another woman in the background. Taibbi’s next list of material was removed by Twitter after being flagged by the Democratic National Committee. They include a picture of Hunter Biden smoking crack and getting his feet rubbed and a link to a Hunter Biden sex tape.
And that’s the big hubbub. Social media company removes unwanted dick pics: News at 11...

And so on, and sadly there'll be no cock pix here, just more Killer observations ...

Ah, turtle Mitch, so many opportunities turned into so many cartoons ...and the pond did relish the talk of how un-antiSemitic the mango Mussolini was, because there are good people on both sides, and what's a dog whistle among friends.

Meanwhile, over at The Bulwark, Charlie was in a fighting mood ...

But it's so hard, Charlie, to let go.

These are Killer's people ... and on Killer 1.0  there are good people on both sides ...

For what it's worth ...

Donald Trump has mocked rival Ron DeSantis over a resurfaced campaign video featuring excessive praise of the one-time president.
On Sunday, the Democrat-aligned Twitter account Patriot Takes shared an old DeSantis campaign ad from 2018 in which the then-candidate for Florida governor and his family swear fealty to Mr Trump in an over-exaggerated fashion.
Mr Trump himself responded to the clip going viral this week - as the pair ramp up their bitter battle over the GOP - by writing on Truth Social: “Thanks, Ron!”
In the video, Mr DeSantis’s wife is heard explaining all the ways that the governor is a good father, while her husband is seen teaching his infant daughter to “build the wall” with blocks and reading from Mr Trump’s book, “The Art of the Deal”.
At the end of the ad, Mr DeSantis is seen placing his infant daughter in a crib adorned with a large Trump flag.
The ad was part of Mr DeSantis’s 2018 campaign for governor, when the Republican rising star defeated his opponent Andrew Gillum by less than one percentage point and went on to turn his administration into a champion of conservative culture war issues. (Independent)

And so to the pond''s obligatory Tuesday ritual ... a kind of Angus Dei for coal ...  (oh okay it's Agnus, but does the pond have to explain the pun, has that prize windmill-hating Angus bull already been forgotten?) ...with Dame Groan having her usual jolly good groan ..
.

The great thing about rituals is that there's never any need to think. Even a slight variation - such as a shot of a power grid rather than satanic windmills or solar panels ruining the world - can be absorbed into the ritual.

No need to think outside the grid, no need to mention climate science, no need to mention global warming and related issues ...

Sure there are stories out there, and quite recent too ... and Sky News was doing its bit regarding the royals...

The royals need to "stop" addressing climate change? That reminded the pond of the old Goons joke about drawing the blinds ...

But back to the groaning, and the great thing about Dame Groan is that she's never started putting the address on the climate science envelope, and is still in the business of shedding copious tears for gas and coal and all that jazz ...

Ah, poor coal, but always able to find a kind, if mournful at the loss, word in any decent groaning ...

Luckily the infallible Pope was out and about today to show how to win the hearts and minds of vulgar youff ...

Now back to the Groaner, because it's easy to ignore the cries of vulgar youff when your entire game is to focus on costs and yet be sublimely unaware of the costs being incurred on a planetary-wide level now and for the foreseeable dismal future ...

Luckily the immortal Rowe was on hand to summarise the gist of this day's groaning, and there the pond will leave the ritual ...

In which it's a standard Monday, and probably a disappointment for keen herpetology students ...

The pond has been astonished to see the number of people complaining about the current state of Twitter ... on Twitter. This is a bit like a junkie desperately wanting to give up blaming the dealer on the quality of supplies.

Might the pond be so bold as to suggest that almost any other medium might be more useful and appropriate, and the best way to protest is to leave the joint. Conquer the addiction, go cold turkey. Sure, the withdrawal could be painful, but if even cackle-headed Claire can do it, anyone can abandon that key pad needle.

Of late, the pond has noted Tesla drivers have taken to sidling up with a shifty, furtive air, complaining about the lack of quality control and wondering where their reputation as futurist trendsetters with the planet's fate in their hearts and heads has gone south with the Nazi lover.

Tough luck for them, but might the pond suggest that if you have no love for a lover of Nazis - yes, he's allowed actual Storm Troopers back to storm the tweets - you don't have to join these wretches in their fate.

Of late manufacturers have caught up with Tesla, though it's true in Australia both the marketplace and every level of government hasn't. Still, there's no point in joining these abject loons, once so prideful in their preening and strutting. Drop the desire for futurist preening and posing, and if you want to go EV, look elsewhere than Tesla, and surprise, surprise, you can look smug and condescending at the charger as they sidle up, their pose shattered ...

It's a bit like the notion of paying for herpetological studies. If you can't do it for fun, and for free, what on earth is the point?

Who in their right minds would pay to line up for a serve of the Caterist on a Monday? If anything, the reptiles should be paying their readership for enduring the drivel, which is now so predictable the pond could scribble a mock Turtle Caterist column in its sleep ... and to prove that point ...

The good news is that the green jobs revolution has begun? As if the coal-loving Caterist has ever given a flying fuck about the fate of the planet ...

Of course it's only so he can deliver what he thinks is a joke about China, but then the dimwitted bulb has never really been able to show a sensa huma.

Is he proposing that the government begin a government-supported solar panel industry here rather than rely on increasingly brutish China?

Likely not, though the pond was surprised to see that other Caterist favourite, nuking the country, given short shrift as a solution ...

Yes, but surely nuking the country was going to fix what ails the planet? Nope, after the usual dissing of reality, and renewables, and the obligatory mourning for dear, sweet, innocent, dinkum Oz coal, at the end of the final gobbet the pitiful situation of being a Caterist will be revealed ...

That's the best he's got? Instead of nuking the country, we must nuke Bowen and consider an early cabinet reshuffle?

As Caterisms go, that's so feeble, such a lukewarm bath of bullshit, that you could dunk a baby in it without any worry about a warming planet ... but it did confirm what the pond was saying about the need for price sensitivity when it came to spending money on a reptile fix. Who knows, you might end up with an abundance of tomatoes ...and what's the use of them, except to throw at Caterists?

And so to the rest of the reptile scene this day, and the pond couldn't help noticing that the lizard Oz editorialist was, early in the morning, cheek by jowl with the Caterist ...

The pond simply had to give it a go, because reptile denialism is always finding new forms of whining ...

That was beyond the valley of the reptile predictable. When in doubt punish the aged and their carers, the disabled and their carers, children and their carers, the homeless and their carers, and those reliant on a public health system, and their carers ...

And keep on gassing the country and the planet,  though again nuking the country seems to be out of vogue ... for this week at least, though the pond has every confidence it will make a splendid comeback ...

The reptiles will go on hoping that an apocalypse arrives, and voters can then be herded back to the mutton Dutton, and the four year nightmare might be quickly forgotten ... though those delighted by the sight of the infallible Pope on the final issue of The Insiders this year (so soon, cardigan wearers?) will be pleased to see that he's well represented in this year's Behind the Lines exhibit ...

Those were the days, and speaking of SovCits, it's time for a serve of the Major as the pond's bonus reptile offering ...

Indeed, indeed, but speaking of a circus ...

What a joy that you can google away and score a seemingly infinite supply of infallible Pope ...

Meanwhile, the surly, resentful, bitter, simmering tone of the Major is its own reward, and his defiance and his recalcitrant hope a wonder to behold

No doubt some will enjoy that Major line: "just as parts of the media have built audiences by publishing what certain readers agree with" ...

The important thing here is an ability to hit the keyboards with that sort of line without the slightest hint of self-awareness or the nature of irony, because that's the only path to meta-irony, fluff gathering and navel gazing of a Major kind ...

And so to the Major's nostrums, what with the HUNsters and the lizard Oz having done such an astonishingly effective job on comrade Dan ... (there, that's the kind meta-irony the Major should think about acquiring) ...

Ah yes,  "The Coalition's best thinker remains Howard ..."

Or what about that pious talk of uplifting stories of those succeeding in the outer suburbs, much like the notion that the Katerist Kirribilli kapers were producing profound insights into the lot of Kellyville residents and the movement of floodwaters in quarries ...

The pond just had to mention that because it's a something of a pond ritual and what else to do when the Major is in a major mood for self-congratulation, seeking out a PM who not only lost government, but his own seat, as a model for emulation ...

At the moment, it goes without saying, this sort of level of delusion is small beer up against the level of delusion in the United States ...

A GOP representative refused to denounce Donald Trump—even when the former president (and current nominee) called for the termination of the U.S. Constitution.
Rep. David Joyce (R-OH) told ABC’s This Week host George Stephanopoulos that he would support whoever the Republican nominee is in 2024, even if Trump is that person. It came a day after Trump called for a new election on Truth Social: “Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!
“Well, again, it’s early,” Joyce said, almost trying to reassure the anchor of his sanity. “I think there’s going to be a lot of people in the primary. I think at the end of the day, whoever the Republican then the pick (sic) I’ll fall in behind.” (That's from the Daily Beast, but the ABC version is on Yahoo here).

Not even the Major can match that level of supine lickspittle lackey fellow-travelling, though to give the Major his due, he's always trying ... turning for an explanation as why there's been an extremely long run of Labor governments in Victoria by invoking one of the best reasons of all ... loudmouth Jeff himself, a constant irritant, a gadfly, a leech, a strutting preening, self-regarding irrelevant bum, in his day as noxious as John "pig's arse" Elliott ...

Ah yes, a positive agenda ... beginning with a deep love of dinkum innocent sweet Oz coal, and an embrace of climate science denialism ...

Only in the la la land the Major inhabits ... though surprisingly, he stopped short of redeeming the liar from the Shire, or his politics of hope, exemplified by his devious attempt to parachute tranny basher Deves into Sydney's north shore ... because that's how the reptiles play the culture wars game ...

So much for the Major blathering about something more powerful than culture wars, as if the culture wars and the black bashing and all the rest of it aren't still going strong ... with martyrs not falling by the wayside, but hanging around to remind us that not holding the hose is still the way to go, and so to be celebrated by cartoonists of the Kudelka kind ...

In which Polonius chastises our Gracie and generalissimo bromancer has a splendid below the water line plan ...

The pond hopes that herpetology students were on the ball and did their required reading yesterday.

It's too easy to goof off ... students might get distracted by Jonathan Freedland carrying on in The Graudian about The reality of Brexit is biting hard. Poor people are suffering most – and now everyone can see it.

Or they might have wasted time on a NY Times piece, outside the paywall at Yahoo, Hate Speech's Rise on Twitter Is Unprecedented, Researchers Find.

Or they might have spotted a Daily Beast story at Yahoo ...These Fox News Stars Gushed Over Kanye West—How About Now?

Worse, they might have settled in for a read, thinking that this would somehow advance their studies ...

...In the initial two-part interview that aired on Carlson’s primetime show, the Fox News primetime star presented West—who at the time sparked controversy for wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt at a fashion show—as a conservative folk hero. Describing the rapper’s political observations as “interesting, deep, provocative,” Carlson dismissed concerns about West’s mental well-being while praising him as a rational, deep thinker.
The morning after Carlson broadcast the first part of his Ye interview, Fox News personalities began falling over themselves to laud the musician-turned-far-right troll.
“If you express anything outside of Black Lives Matter and say ‘all lives matter’ or ‘white lives matter,’ that’s somehow an insult. An insult to whom? Again, I say watch this interview,” Fox News contributor and resident “media critic” Joe Concha said on the Oct. 7 broadcast of Fox & Friends First. “Kanye West is wise, he is unique, and certainly he is fearless.”
On Thursday afternoon, after Ye declared that he likes Hitler, Concha observed on Twitter that the rapper’s “meltdown is complete” and has hit “a new horrific bottom.” The Fox News pundit then blocked multiple Twitter users who replied to him with his previous remarks cheering West as “wise” and “fearless.”
Concha wasn’t alone in his unapologetic praise for Ye at the time. Following his initial comments, the denizens of Fox & Friends continued to jump aboard the hype train. Co-host Ainsley Earhardt, for instance, raved that “you can’t help but like him because he is not apologetic” and “people listen to him because he is interesting.” West is “fascinating,” she added. “[I’m] glad he is strong enough” to deal with all the adversity he has faced.
Earhardt’s colleague Will Cain, meanwhile, boasted: “He is authentic, he is unfiltered, and he is independent.” Neither Earhardt nor Cain have commented on West’s intellectual rigor following his turn to full-blown Nazism.
Joining them in unabashed Ye appreciation was Jeanine Pirro, who said that evening on The Five that West was “nobody’s fool,” that she was “impressed with him,” and that she liked “a lot of what he said.” The Fox star continued: “I liked that ‘White Lives Matter.’ It’s not just freedom of speech, he has the chutzpah to say it!”
Pirro, too, has yet to comment on the leaked Carlson interview showing antisemitic comments or West’s Nazi pivot. While she hasn’t directly discussed West, she did say this week that “Holocaust deniers” and Sandy Hook truthers should be allowed on Twitter. “America was founded on the concept of free speech. Hate speech is protected. I'm tired of saying it,” she said on Thursday.
Later that same evening, on the network’s “late-night comedy” show Gutfeld!, Fox Business Network host Kennedy declared that West’s interview was “great” and “really smart” while saying she “always appreciated about him how he pushes the boundaries.”
The former MTV VJ also claimed West is “someone who has thought deeply about his art and opinions and he expresses everything so clearly,” therefore the “fact that he is making people mad means that as an artist he is doing his job.” Since then, however, Kennedy has somewhat addressed Ye’s antisemitism on her FBN show, at one point joking during an Oct. 27 broadcast about West calling the cops on a synagogue and telling a guest he’s gone “crazy.”
Finally, the following morning on Fox & Friends Weekend, and just as West was launching into his overt antisemitic rants on social media, co-host Pete Hegseth expressed hope that West’s outspokenness “empowers other people to have the courage to do the same thing.”
Of course, by the following week, the network’s fawning over-the-top praise for the bigoted megastar tapered completely off after West dug deeper into his hateful rhetoric. Additionally, it was revealed that Carlson had excised a number of eyebrow-raising comments from West during their interview, including antisemitic tropes and off-the-rails conspiracy theories.
In recent weeks, meanwhile, Fox News has done its best to virtually ignore West’s unhinged actions that have caused headaches for Republican leadership. After West brought toxic white supremacist leader Nick Fuentes to a dinner with former President Donald Trump, the network remained mostly silent about the ordeal—and even got angry when reporters dared ask GOP leader Kevin McCarthy about it.
And in the wake of West praising Hitler and getting banned from Twitter after starting a war with “Chief Twit” Elon Musk, Fox News has barely mentioned the meltdown. At the time of publication, Fox News has only briefly brought it up three times—including asking West’s former in-law Caitlyn Jenner for her thoughts on it.

And so on ...

There were plenty of distracting links in the original, and hapless students might have thought that understanding Faux Noise might lead to a deeper understanding that to be a lover of Nazi lovers might make you something of a Nazi lover ...

But that way lies madness - how can you comprehend the nature of dark matter? - and at the end of that lengthy quote, how many students could remember yesterday's piece by our Gracie muttering darkly about media types and media circles, and hinting in a subtle way that perhaps the HUN and even - gasp - the lizard Oz should carry some of the Victorian election can, or at least leave it out the back for the shit carters to deal with?

If they did remember, it might come as a shock for them to be reminded that in fact it was all the fault of the devious cardigan wearers at the ABC talking to academics while ignoring Polonius, and they would be ill-prepared for prattling Polonius's cogent denunciation of our Gracie, a continuation of the reptile brawl that started out the back of Maquires ...

Polonius gets right into it, dismissing Gracie's 'expert opinion' and explaining she missed the bigger picture ...

Yes, you get the picture. Why, Polonius has been solving black problems for decades, with tremendous results, it's as easy as peasy or falling off a Ye log, and it follows that the entire miserable showing of the Liberal party in Victoria was due to pundits and academics turning up to blather on the ABC, while resolutely refusing to heed Polonius's infinite capacity for interminable blather ...

Damn you cardigan wearers and your insufferable ways ...

And so to the good news ... if you do a forensic examination of the results, in Polonial style, you will be able to see that the Liberal party and the coalition were pretty much winners...

You won't hear any of that from the academics on ABC radio., victory after victory.

Why the teals were smoted and smited, and it was a narrow win for comrade Dan, a mere 52 seats for Labor up against a resounding 25 for the Liberal party, with 7 still to call as the pond types ...

That's the sort of narrow victory that immediately instils confidence and hope in a Polonius, and puts to bed yesterday's dissing of media types and media circles by our Gracie ...

You can see the problem right there, and the pond appended a reminder of that ridiculous story about Libs remaining lost in wishful thinking, as if it's wishful thinking to celebrate the Nats winning a few seats and the teals on the run and 25 seats the start of a triumphant return to power.

The pond can confidently tell our Gracie, academics on the ABC and the cardigan wearers themselves that the Libs and the reptiles are back baby. Sure it's a temporary glitch, a difficult period, but forget those untimely political obituaries, we're back baby ... if Polonius says it, it must be true ...

Yes, one day a hard rain is going to fall, and likely it's climate change, but it's just as likely to be Polonius plotting and scheming to bring about rapid changes in the ABC, and incidentally take over the world...

And that's as good a segue as any into the pond's final offering this day which is deliberately light on, because the pond refuses to encourage Dame Slap and her vicious, bitchy, never-attending assaults in relation to the Higgins matter.

Sometimes she veers from the intolerable to the loathsome, and right now she's in the valley of the loathsome, and there she can stay ...

That frees the pond to turn to a vexatious issue, the defence of Australia, with the reptiles' very own generalissimo, the Reichsführer-SS and Oberster Führer der SS if you will, tackling yet again the matter of those wretched subs ...

Be warned, it's a very long outburst, but there's a splendid pay off at the end, a tremendous example of reptile FUD at its bet ...

Meanwhile, the pond thought, per the immortal Rowe, that Xi might himself be facing a spot of bother ...

But what are a few bits of pimple paper, up against the subs we'll be rolling out in 2050, long after the pond has gone from the scene ...

The pond is up for any kind of billy goat butt,  but the bromancer has a secret trick to solve the secret submarines affair ... you just have to spend a long time getting to it ...

Now all this sounds right and good and AUKUS, AUKUS, but we're on a slow build here ... and there might be a few more wrinkles before we arrive at the ultimate solution ...

Tough challenges for our reptile generalissimo, but ye of little faith, the hour of redemption is at hand, once we get past a few problems ...

By golly, it's getting worse and worse, all those mounting problems, and the pond was reminded of a bromancer howl of pain way back in February 2019, with just a sample to go on with ... (sorry, the pond never links to the lizard Oz) ... with the bromancer saying that the starting point for the new subs entering into service had slipped by a decade, and how the government hated generalissimos pointing it out ...

Ah, those were the days, the bromancer first yearning for Japanese subs, then dealing with French subs, then demanding that we nuke the subs, then worrying that we would never be able to nuke the subs, and now three years later, here we are ...

And so we come to the highlight, as promised at the start, the generalissimo's bold strategic move.

Forget everything you've ever read, let it slip down the reptile 1984 reptile memory hole. All that wasted time, all those false moves, all that braying about nuking the subs...

Forget it Jake, just build some more Collins class subs and all will be well and Australia can bestride the seas with 1990 technology, plus bonus tweaks ...

And how handy that the Chinese will head down to nearby waters, so you don't have to get range anxiety, and so we can give them a bloody nose close to home ...

Yep, the bromancer is a 1000 per cent behind the AUKUS nuclear-powered sub, except that he's also a 1000 per cent behind building a few more Collins class subs to really teach the Chinese what for ...

And if that doesn't leave you entirely contented and confident that military purchasing of kit is in the safe hands of a generalissimo reptile, how fussy and difficult are you?

You might wonder about the navy having to start all over again, while still trying to wangle the nuking of the subs by 2050, but that's why we need generalissimos ...

And so to end where the pond started, and catch up with a few issues that couldn't be mentioned as the grand plan to revert to Collins subs was unveiled ... back to the future being always the best strategy ...

Not that there's anything wrong with professional sex work, if you get the right kind of salary ...
