The state of the union of protest signs in America, and a rational way forward on the health care debate

Friday, and so many loons, so little time. Best to say it in pictures, thanks to the Huffington Post and others trying to discover the best visual expression of American madness (if you image google health care protest signs, you'll regret it):

The trojan horse of Islam? Poetic, inscrutable, exotic, mysterious, and a bit of a worry for the ancient Greeks with their 14 key gods and goddesses, or the Trojans, supposed to share the same religion as the Acheans.

Or is it about Jeanne Shaheen as the trojan horse? Kinda funny name when you think about it. And yes, sure enough, she's married to a Lebanese American, and they attend a Maronite Christian church in Dover (damn Maronites even have the cheek to use a dialect of Aramaic in their liturgy, the same kind of lingo as mad Mel used in his passion play).

Sure Shaheen's eleventh great grandmother might be Pocahontas, and she started off in a Republican family, but she's married to a kinda funny name. They surely play it tough and mad in New Hampshire.

Oh yes, the man in the middle, holding the sign saying we have no idea what we're talking about.

Cue post modern ironic discourse. Now say it quickly. Euth an asia. Yep, it's Asian youths and euthanasia enthusiasts neatly rolled into one big sorry mess:

As for the next one, it seems that there's an Arrested Development the motion picture in the works, slated for a 2010 release date, with the original cast members. Is there nothing Obama can't arrange, except rational discussion with far right loons?

Perhaps, if you don't have any idea of the first use of the term, and isn't it the law amongst loons that first come is first served (wiki the term here, or Urban dictionary it here, but be prepared for a surprise if Richardson's Pamela, the story of a woman using her virginity as a bargaining chip for marrying above her station, told over seemingly endless pages is your idea of a good read).

And then there are the death panel loons, so beloved of Tim Blair at the Daily Terror.

America on the march .... towards a better health care plan for those who get sick and die outside the current system, or towards collective insanity?
