The biggest mystery of all - how will the alleged "journalists" - the pond uses the word loosely - at the lizard Oz cover the story?

The pond had idly thought of taking up a correspondent's suggestion to note the grundling about the cat hoax, with a link to MSN reprint for those who can't get past the Crikey paywall ... but it did include a link to the goodies ... goody goody yum yum ...

But then a better story came along, in full at the Crikey website ...

Thanks to The New Daily, we know how the gutless wonders in la la Peter Costello land took the craven approach ...

You can head off to The New Daily if you feel the need to click on to enlarge ...

Luckily for the pond it's still trapped in Melbourne, and so can check in tomorrow, before hitting the road on Wednesday ... with the big mystery how the alleged "journalists" at the lizard Oz will cover the story?

The pond rarely uses the word "journalist" when it comes to the wretches at the lizard Oz, and the pond only expects the usual craven cowardice and forelock tugging but that will be as amusing as that yarn about the Murdochians and furries ...

The pond couldn't help but put on that ancient Bon Jovi song, "Shot down in a blaze of glory", because surely there's going to be some shooting going down ...

By golly the shooting has started already, all guns blazing ... outside the Crikey paywall for the heck of it ...

Oh it's going to be better than some random gunfight at some corral and already Crikey is attracting lots of attention in the United States ... even Folkenflik of NPR couldn't resist running with it ...

Let's see how the reptiles are when it comes to reporting on a shoot-out in a fair and balanced way ... you know, like Faux News and their work as unindicted co-conspirators ...

  1. Folkenflik: "Fox's attorneys have taken the first steps toward filing such a lawsuit against Crikey. In Australia, such cases are much easier to win than in the U.S."

Sadly so, but I guess if it's made easier for those who have been defamed to win such cases, then that makes it easier for everyone else too.

Good luck, and hopefully some semblance of justice, to Crikey.

  2. I have already contacted Crikey to say I'll donate. They are going to need it.
