At the moment this brief post goes out, it's 6 am in Ukraine (though the clock will keep moving), as Ukrainians wake to celebrate their Independence Day, in commemoration of the Declaration of Independence in 1991.

The pond did briefly think of using AI to devise an image of Vlad the Sociopath as Satan, as a joke playing on the current Russian campaign to ban Satanism and randomly punish Satanists ...
Where's that chook, the pond can feel a traditional Sunday Oz Satanic ritual coming on, preferably with baked potatoes and a nice array of vegetables... a luxury denied those enduring the Gaza genocide.
The joke would have, of course, celebrated the way the country is currently being led by one of Satan's key aides and helpers...
In November 2023, Putin pardoned a member of a Satanist gang that killed four teenagers who was serving a 20-year prison sentence in recognition of his military service in Ukraine.
What a deeply weird, cruel and violent country it is, but to be fair, that tone is set at the top, and could change with the help of a regime change. Stand clear of windows!
As for that random AI thought bubble, why kill a forest and induce an energy and climate crisis when there are human beans who have already done an exemplary job ...
