In which there's Polonial prattle, a much needed distraction from the prattle, a toe in water with Dame Slap, and the lizard Oz editorialist regurgitating "Ned", a sight not for the faint-hearted ...

 

The pond has always been curious about the hive mind, the bubble, the impenetrable fortress within which the reptiles dwell ...

The lizard Oz eventually got around this weekend to mentioning Navalny's funeral, well down the page, in cursory form, but many things stay locked outside the hive ...

The reptiles haven't shown the slightest interest in the ongoing deaths and genocide, and you have to turn to other places to hear the latest ...

Funny how you can have 30k dead, and suddenly a 100+ is the tipping point ... even the both siders couldn't help but notice ...

Naturally all that's just water off a prattling duck's back, with Polonius knowing that the aged demographic are safely locked behind the paywall and fed offal from the hive mind, and so don't have a clue about what's going down ...

The pond can't begin to count the number of times that Polonius has railed against writers' festivals, sensing that they rightly perceive him a creepy creep, but at least it means that the ABC is spared the usual diatribe ...(for the first few gobbets, you know it's coming, it has to come, it's in the scorpion's nature).

The pond also can't begin to count the number of times the reptiles have offered up a snap of their darling Clementine as a tattooed freak feminist close to Satan and designed to terrify the readership ...

Just look at her appearances in the lizard Oz or other Murdoch rags.

As for the Gaza genocide or the capers on the West Bank, being inside the hive mind, Polonius is sublimely oblivious ...

There's no reading for him of that story in The New Yorker previously referenced by the pond ...The Israeli Settlers attacking their Palestinian neighbors ... (paywall).

The pond treats those stories as a kind of oxygen, needed before getting back to experiencing the effects of reptile emphysema ...

They're not pleasant reading - dislocation, displacement, theft - but they're reminders of why some people outside the Seinfeldian bubble, the X-files hive mind, reach for them as a corrective ...

On the other hand, is a state of deep depression the best condition in which to tackle a Polonial scribble?

There's your glib Polonius right there, the blather about anti-semitism, and any concerns being dismissed as belonging to a group of opponents of the state of Israel ...

It's what the government of Israel is condoning or actively participating in that's the concern ...

Short of Clementine's tatts, the reptiles will always go a smirking snap ...

You won't find any history in the Polonial outing ...

Here it comes,  as surely as scorpion night follows scorpion day, with Polonius determined to make both the ABC and assorted festivals pay for treating him as a dinosaur ...

Of course if you'd have been out and about in the world and stayed reading that New Yorker piece, you might have a different understanding ...

It goes without saying that Polonius doesn't want to be shown either ... and here for the record the pond should note certain similarities in the reptile snapology ...

All three are women, a couple are youngish. They're probably difficult and uppity, like those pesky uppity blaks, and they possibly read stories outside the lizard Oz ...

Meanwhile, Polonius is still obsessed with the writers' festivals who think of him as an aged and irrelevant dinosaur (and who can argue with that?)

Lacks balance, is devoid of debate? 

The only time there's any balance or debate in the pond is when it steps outside the reptile hive mind, and does a little counter-programming ...

The only time Ford is mentioned is as a Satanist, or perhaps as Satan herself ...

Sadly that was about it for the Sunday meditation ...

There's a sorry and sad tale the pond can't resist telling. The reptiles started off so bright eyed and bushy-tailed early in the evening ...

Such hope, an early strong swing, dynamics completely altered, simplistic 'here no conflict of interest' Simon wildly excited, and the reptile-wrought revolution to hand ...

And then the calling ...  oh the cruelty, as it came surprisingly early for what was supposed to be a cliff hanger ...

And then ...

No doubt there was some pleasure to be had listening to the delusional Ssusssan treat it as a victory. 

The pond couldn't watch the ABC, and is edging ever closer to the partner's assessment that he's a dickhead of the first water, but it was all there in the Graudian.

As for the rest, in turning to other reptile matters, the pond has to acknowledge and admit, to the pond's eternal shame, that it had intended resolutely ignoring Dame Slap's offering. 

Having the Angelic one blather about being a meaty mum was one thing, but Dame Slap spouting on about the joys of motherhood like a broken stormwater pipe was another, even if at one point it was the reptile centrepiece ...

Then an esteemed correspondent praised the pond for ignoring the offering, and immediately briar patch syndrome kicked in ...

What a miserable start with the usual blather about misery-guts feminism ... and there should be a law against journalists using kid photos in their media pieces. It's an abuse of childhood, a bit like putting a family album on line. There were more of them but they won't be appearing in the pond ...

This was enough of a sample of the Dame Slap text to show why the pond avoided running the whole tawdry, wretched thing ...

You'd never know that in that time struggle street mum Dame Slap was living in palatial circumstances, would soon score a plumb job on the ABC board, and learned the joys of nepotism ... a News Corp feature, not a bug ... per Crikey, The new News Corp aristocracy back in November 2018, with a lot of grundling noises... And that's how the pond ended up with a fall back, because the lizard Oz editorialist was on fire about Dunkley and how could the pond resist, especially as they began with a classic billy goat butt, or if you will, "whatever the result" ...

Populist policy must always be seen as political weakness?

Surely this was the perfect chance to reflect on Faux Noise, the Emeritus Chairman, the GOP, and the contribution News Corpse makes to the world ...

Why did the pond turn to the 'toon solution? 

Well, with a straight face, and the gravitas of a silent film comedian, the lizard Oz editorialist evoked tat already featured "Ned" Everest ...

That's the trouble with the hive mind. All they do is sit around examining their navels and doing mutual fluff-gathering ...
