Has he actually got anything right so far ? But I guess even Lachie is of a different generation than Roopie and might just be a smidgen offput by Hannity and Carlson.

Maybe. A post-Roopie world can't be all that very far away.

And indeed Abbott turned out to be everything he promised to be.GrueBleennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1462488453822156883.post-1116352428565746762020-08-01T19:42:05.798+10:002020-08-01T19:42:05.798+10:00James I knew about but what to make of "he an...James I knew about but what to make of "he and Lachlan have recently indicated discomfort with the conservative slant of much of News Corp and Fox Corp". Lachlan? I thought Lachlan was a chip off the old block.

Are they positioning themselves for a post-Roopie world?

With regard to the other scribblers they are still doing no more than gaslighting. Trump is no more, actually a lot less, than he initially appeared to be and no amount of spinning and deflecting can really change that at this point.

It's kind of like Abbott, looked like a fvckwit, turned out to be a fyckwit.Befuddledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16201490489888639207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1462488453822156883.post-53232067751215871692020-08-01T16:44:03.896+10:002020-08-01T16:44:03.896+10:00The Bromancer really is way, way into never-never ...The Bromancer really is way, way into never-never land when he claims: "Trump leading Biden handsomely on who would manage the economy better". Clearly, he pays no attention to what is actually going on in the US or he might have seen:
Trump’s Edge on Economy Vanishes as More Voters Now Trust Biden
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-07-15/trump-s-edge-on-economy-vanishes-as-more-voters-now-trust-biden

But then, I guess to have noticed that might have put a crimp in Bromancer's fantastical world of 'Trump normalcy'. Truly, the only realistic form of 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' is the derangement of seriously pretending that Trump isn't deranged.

So he can spout out that "[Trump] is not running on how he handled the COVID-19 pandemic." Well no, I guess that given the state of the pandemic in the US, even Trump might have figured out that it's not a big plus for him.

But then we get "The veteran guru of US election analysts, Charles Cook" assuring us that "Biden needs to win the popular vote by 3 or 4 percent to win ... the presidency." And you know, Hillary won the popular vote by only 2.9 per cent - a full 0.1 per cent less than Cook's measure. And therefore, she lost ! No wonder Bromancer calls him "the smartest election watcher I've ever met" - Bromancer doesn't get out and about much then, does he.

And the Bromancer's gem of the day: "These are two profoundly unsatisfactory candidates, but that's democracy for you."

Which leads us straight to the Doggy Boverer and this: "...from the moment Trump won, the liberal left has railed against the result, attacked his legitimacy, and attempted to push him from office by fair means or foul."

Now that is the real Trump Derangement Syndrome in full flight: Trump the virtuous being set upon by the evil "liberal left". Nothing at all like the holy 'conservative (and crazy) right' who showed such graceful acceptance of Obama's victory, didn't they.

The Doggy Bov then goes on to repeat a whole bunch of reptile lies, so that's more than enough for one day. So I'll close with just this one sparkling gem from the Bov: "If Trump loses, they might see that Trump tried to clean up the cosy political/bureaucratic/media establishment and, instead, was unfairly destroyed by them."

Can we perhaps see why James Murdoch has severed all ties with Daddy's evil empire because of ‘disagreements over certain editorial content’:
https://www.theguardian.com/media/2020/jul/31/james-murdoch-resigns-board-news-corporationGrueBleennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1462488453822156883.post-79051896929710656692020-08-01T14:04:44.902+10:002020-08-01T14:04:44.902+10:00While I try to grasp the strange, alien worlds con...While I try to grasp the strange, alien worlds conjured up by Bromancer and the Doggy Bov, here's a quickie comment on Katrina Grace:

She says: "...very few are interested in hearing wistful (and delusional) rumination on Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan." Well actually, Gracie, tens of millions of people still worship and revere Maggie and Ronnie and will long continue to do so.

So when you aver that: "Public leadership will need to be more intelligent, and discussion more nuanced, than that." you really are just kidding yourself, aren't you. This is a world in which millions of Maggie and Ronnie believers went on to elect Boris and Donald in case you haven't noticed.GrueBleennoreply@blogger.com
