In which the pond grudgingly does Dame Slap and Wentworth, but only in the cause of fluff-gathering and hating on women ...

The pond only decided to go there reluctantly, grudgingly …

The reptiles are determined to lather themselves up into an hysterical panic over Wentworth, and it's mortifying to watch them drool and slobber and wet themselves in fear and loathing …

And yet, Dame Slap on a Tuesday doing her usual 'hate and dump on other women' routine has to be honoured … especially as the proposition in the headline, Men needn't make way for worthy women to succeed, is on the face of it, and an inch below the surface, deeply silly …

Worthy men will have to make way for worthy women to succeed, unworthy men will need to make way for unworthy women to succeed, and unworthy or middling men will also have to take a dive to make the path slightly easier for middle of the road, aspiring to worthiness women …

That's how it goes if you intend to get beyond tokenism, or Dame Slap MAGA-loving delusionalism, to arrive in the land of the 50-50 mix of the unworthy and worthy ...

Now the pond confessed that after that opening serve of Serena Williams - singularly irrelevant at the best of times to politics in Wentworth - the pond, luxuriating in its reptile access, clicked on the Margin Call item which had been at the top of the digital page, and discovered the reptiles were canny recyclers of stock photos …

It goes without saying that the one thing reptiles can't stand is a hint of selflessness, and naturally suspicions immediately arose. Would a raptor, should a raptor, display selflessness?

Dame Slap can't stand the notion, the very thought of it …you see, women are just as bad, and possibly worse ...

But enough of Dame Slap denying bullying and harassing journalists and attacking women - she after all is an enthusiastic supporter of the pussy-groping Donald and donned the MAGA hat and strode out into New York streets to celebrate the election of a tweet bully - because the gossip was still running hot at Margin Call

Of course there's also the possibility of being a loser in a losing campaign doing the losing unthinkable impossible … losing Wentworth, which would be about as shocking as losing Toorak.

Why not give that job to a woman, just as proof and confirmation that women are singularly useless when it comes to politics?

Back to Dame Slap to learn that the reptiles are also singularly adept at recycling the graphics du jour, not that Dame Slap has much to say about a suitable candidate for the seat, not when there's ABC women to abuse...

Oh dear, dreary predictable stuff, much as the pond feared, and not a word about Dame Slap's fawning subservience to the pussy-groping Donald, or even a word about her subservience to "Lord" Monckton's talk of world government by Xmas …

Time for another Margin Call

Chris Stone? Is that the Chris Stone talking the talk here?

Turns out talk is cheap when it comes to a seat where an unworthy man of the Peter King might eye off the glittering prize yet again … a proven failure contending with women in a way that makes it not matter much if they're worthy or unworthy…

And that's how the pond staggered to the final Dame Slap gobbet …

At some point, someone - possibly a Freudian - will attempt to analyse Dame Slap and her hatred, fear and loathing of other women, and her submissive desire to pander to dominant white conservative males, even those of the pussy-groping Donald kind …

No doubt it will be suitably exotic and compelling …

Luckily the pond isn't in to Freudian analysis ...

Well the pond got tired of running the MAGA cap joke - certain communities will have fun with that dress sense - and for some inexplicable reason, there was no easy throw to the Rowe of the day.

The diligent dog drawer seemed more interested in insurance than in the navel-gazing, fluff-gathering reptile anxieties hovering over Wentworth like an early summer storm … with more relevant and stress-relieving Rowe here ...

  1. Dame Slap's column is the usual tasty cocktail of bile and "Harden the fuck up, wimps!" demands. However, may I be a small-minded pedant and point hour that Julie Bishop was Foreign Minister for just on five years, rather than the six years with which the Dame credits her?

Not that a year makes much difference; either way she achieved SFA for the country in the cushiest gig in the Ministry.

  2. Slapper: "Bragg's exit marks the formal dumbing down of the Liberal Party."

Woah! Has she ever heard Kelly O'Dwyer being interviewed? Josh Frydenberg trying to explain whatever the party has made him represent today? Has she heard pretty well ever utterance ever made by the onion muncher?

And YESTERDAY was the dumbing down?

    Strike me pink.

Regarding the party's attitude to women, consider this lovely individual https://twitter.com/Shorten_Suite/status/1039309204249403392. Backpfeifengesicht!

  3. Dame Slap: "He [the male umpire] penalisd Williams because her coach sent her coaching signals."

And there we have once again the totally lazy incompetence of the reptile, in general, and of Dame Slap in particular. No, DS "he" did not penalise her because of her coach's vapid stupidity. He warned her - as he has always done apparently to both males and females - and only penalised her later when she (a) smashed her racket and (b) called him "sexist" and "a thief" which under normal circumstances would probably have been good enough for him to sue her for slander.

They really just can't help themselves, can they: no attention to detail, no concern for truth, just belt out the factoids time after time.

Not that I'm agin Serena in any way, after all she nearly died giving birth, so she says [ See: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/feb/20/serena-williams-childbirth-health-daughter-tennis ]
But one does wonder if she is really well enough mentally balanced to be driving her body through world class tennis so soon afterwards.

Slap: "Working in a library is different to ...Working in parliament is different to ..."

Psst, Janet, dearest most meritorious one, the grammatically correct word-preposition combination is "different from". Please do your homework or you'll have to have your merit score downgraded.

"...losing Wentworth, which would be about as shocking as losing Toorak. "

Ah but, butt DP, would it be nearly as shocking as losing Bennelong whilst still the established, unchallenged Prime Minister ? And to a female ex-ABC journalist, at that !

Slap again: "They are hurting us [that's "women like her" I think she means] treating us as so second-rate that we can't win without special favours."

But Slap, old mate, you are so very second-rate. Because if you aren't, and if you don't need "favours" there'd be a whole lot more of you sitting in the LNP benches already. It has been about 75 years since Menzies started the Liberal Party - and the Country (now National) party has been around even longer.

So tell us all once again, if you aren't second-rate, and you don't need special favours, why isn't there already lots more of you ?

    1. Some further research indicates that Ramos was indeed being 'inconsistent' in awarding penalties and that he has been lenient with males in the past:

"As the Guardian pointed out, Ramos has gotten into arguments with Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, and Rafael Nadal and didn’t penalize them the way he did Serena."
      See: https://www.vox.com/2018/9/10/17837598/serena-williams-us-open-umpire-carlos-ramos
(A long read but very informative).

So ok, Ramos was "sexist" and a "thief" after all.

    2. And of course no Liberal man steps down in principle, GB. They only do it when they are 'leaned on'.

    3. As an elector of Wentworth, I take exception to Dame Slap's reference to the ultra-conservative 4-odd kilometers from the Lord Dudley pub in Paddo to Catalina restaurant in Rose Bay being the sphere of influence.
