Just another subsidised day with the Caterists ...

Subsidies spark market strife?

Would the pond be predictable?

Of course the pond is predictable, but then so is the Caterist, and thus life balances itself … and at least the pond uses visual illustrations for its powerpoint presentation, rather than the endless verbiage the Caterist deploys …rewarded rent-seeker that he is ...

Still banging on about subsidies?

What to say?

And so to yet more blather about dinkum clean Oz coal, oi, oi, oi …and the dangers of subsidies ...

More here, but actually that's only the beginning of the subsidies that coal producers score …though even the Caterist, accustomed as he is to the art of scoring subsidies, can't quite go where the agrarian socialists want to go … not quite yet, at least, as he summons  up the courage to scribble "government investment cannot be avoided …

Uh  huh ...

Thankfully the Pope has issued a briefing note which means the pond doesn't have to argue with the Caterist, as it counts down the days to a settlement in September … with more papal briefing notes to hand here

  1. Is it a good idea for Cater to be writing maligning the legal profession at the moment? Prone to struggle with the bleeding obvious as they do, like finding against him for his obvious defamation.
