In which a simpering Savva makes a play for panderer of the month, domestic division ...

Well yes indeedy do, and it's good to see that the reptiles are taking their cues from One Nation too ...

And so to the rationalisations, and who better than rationaliser, equivocator and Malware toadie than a Savva willing to slobber all over Pauline, in aid of her master? And wag the tail at his new friends ... the days of using the dog house are over ...

And so the pond's "panderer of the month" and possibly the year competition, domestic division ...

Domestic division? Wel, as noted earlier, the the pond had to do something to give the salivating Savva some kind of show in the comp, what with the bromancer being streets ahead in the international division ... celebrating as he did the arrival of a permanent gulag for the Palestinian mob ...

It was possibly only the reptiles' rich sense of irony that led them to juxtapose Savva simpering over Hanson with talk of heat on the grid manager ... but it caused consternation in the pond judging system.

Did this mean that Savva should really be competing with Dame Slap, who yesterday won the pond's renewable energy competition by not actually mentioning climate science?:

Would Savva mention actual Pauline Hanson policies, the rabid Islamic baiting, the bigotry, the race hatred, the weird climate superstitions in lieu of climate science, and so on and so forth ...

Well it seems that suddenly all the same old, same old is now the wiser old new ...

Did the pond commit a category error?

Exemplary stuff. Not an actual mention of One Nation's policies or what all this might be facilitating. Just a fascination with the chicanery and machinery of facilitation.

The pond notes the sublime refusal to actually discuss One Nation's policies, but insists that Savva has been correctly entered into the pandering competition ...

See how the next gobbet opens for definitive proof ... as Malcolm Roberts and the like are given a clean bill of health by the pandering Savva ...

The logic is sublime and impeccable. Someone picks on the Jews, so you can pick on the Islamics. Someone picks on the Islamics, why then you can pick on the Jews. And everyone can pick on the Christians ... except when the Christians are picking on everyone else ...

Once upon a time, slagging off religions used to be a part-time hobby for secular atheists of the pond kind, but now it seems bigotry is all relative, at least if a little pandering will result in a return to power (strange times indeed, with the pond cheering on a Chinese Xian in Indonesia just to spite the bigoted fundamentalist Islamics using the fraudulent notion of blasphemy to crucify a political opponent).

A sure sign of a panderer in action is a line like "While One nation still attracts plenty of kooks, it is also attracting people who know how political parties should be run and how leaders should operate."

There you go, James Ashby, cleansed as if plunged into a river full of holy Savva water ...

Never mind that the party is led by a kook and that Malcolm Roberts in the Senate is a prime kook of the first climate denialist water ...

Of course to provide a little smokescreen and a cover, the panderer immediately goes on to mock the defections, and James Ashby and the deplorables who make up the Hansonite deplorable base, but at the end of it all, the best that the panderer can do is to urge Malware and Barners to dance with each other, and stay strong in their belief they can knock over Shorten ...

Actual policies, actual integrity? Meaningless words to the panderer intent on victory at all costs ...

And now speaking of ironies, here's a couple of images thrown up (the pond accepts this might be taken literally) when doing an image search for "panderer" ...

The pond itself scored one hit thanks to Peta ...

How's that pandering been looking lately?

And a 'gator scored another ...

Was it only yesterday that the pond marvelled as Dame Slap rushed to blame renewable energy ...

... before the grid manager stood up to take a bow?

By golly, she could enter her piece in the pandering competition too, and blow simpering Savva away ...

And after that picture of science as a 'gator, the pond got nostalgic for the croc shots it ran only yesterday, applicable as they are to simpering Savva straying very close to the edge of the lagoon..

Take that NT News ... dangle that leg in the water with Malware, simpering Savva ...

  1. I may have said this before but just imagine waking up next to Savva it would be enough to give you heart failure.

  2. Deary me,Dorothy. What is this phenomena where a massive percentage of the world's media views this global omni-shambles horror movie as a family friendly sitcom?
It's like Mel Brookes has mastered world mind control and placed Archie Bunker in the lead role of the President. Then we get to hear Savva,Slapper et al. wax lyrical how all is well in the garden of power.
An Archie Bunker quote comes to mind: "Just 'cause there's snow in the basement don't mean there ain't no fire in the roof"

    On the continuing US omni-shambles,

  3. Quote of the year so far from Josh Friedbrain on energy policy/renewable energy
"We on this side of the house are policy neutral......policy neutral"
Waiting for Josh to bring a whirly-gig on a stick into the house any day now, while wearing clown shoes.

  4. Poor Nikki - on just the same day as John Warhurst (emeritus political science prof at ANU) has declared in the Fairfax press: "One Nation has not changed much at all over time, apart from its targets being Muslim rather than Asian ...".
And to Anon1, it may be that the human beetroot is sober.

  5. Jesus H Christ on an energy-storing bicyle!

I must apologise, but after a week in Berlin (er, refugee attacks around town same number as every year), it's such a punch to the belly to log on to the Pond, and get drawn back into the infantile fuddy-duddery of News Ltd op-eds. Wow. Just fvcken wow.

Is that where our little backwater is at? Equating The Greens with One Notion on the political scale?

    Hanson is more mature?

I'm just going to have to find a corner at the airport and weep for a while.

    Poor my nation.
