In which the pond discovers that the lizards of Oz are the enemies of the people ...

It being the age of the intertubes, some memes never go away ... and most result in hearty contributions to the Godwin's law swear jar ...

First they came for the judges ...

But everyone knows that the Daily UK Snail is a fascist rag with a long history of fascist associations. Would anyone be surprised by its use of fascist terminology?

But then they came for the media ...

But that's the BBC getting agitated here

Of course the cardigan wearers would be a bit sensitive about being singled out as purveyors of fake news by the Donald ...after all, he's just doing what the Murdochians and the lizards of Oz have been doing week in, week out for years ...

But then they came for the lizards of Oz ...

Well yes, they routinely provide fake news and fake commentary, and alternative facts ...

They show every sign of being enemies of the people ... look how they hide people haters in their midst and refuse to sack them ...

Sky News, proud home of the bigots ...

Reptile against reptile, torn apart by bigotry and hate, as they argue over who can be the worst of the worst enemy of the people ...

And it should go without saying that one of the foremost enemies of the people is surely the Major Mitchell ... order of Lenin hunter extraordinaire ...

Even worse, this enemy of the people is proudly, unashamedly 'leetist ...

He pleads guilty, and not just guilty to the easily proven charge of delusionalism?

Indeed, indeed. There's nothing like the demonising of women and refugees and such like as an unintended bonus ...

Here's another bonus for enemies of the people ...

The cheeky sods even boast about how they make up fake news and sell it ...

There are of course many ironies to be discovered in the scribbling of this enemy of the people.

See below a joke about "comment is cheap" and then do a glib throwaway line about negative gearing ...

Only a singular galah of the Major Mitchell kind is capable of such feats.

Talk about Paul Murray as "amusing" when even Murray has to apologise for being a head-butting blistering billygoat inclined to go off the deep end? Easy peasy ...

Ah there he goes, celebrating the Bolter and railing about Twitter. Which reminds the pond, what news of the Bolter this day over at the Major Mitchell's Terrorist kissing cousins?

There we go, little Timmie Bleagh celebrating Milo - two loathsome peas in a vile pod - and the Bolter doing climate denialism yet again ...

And yet still the recalcitrant Major Mitchell loves these enemies of the people and remains defiant...

Some more facts. The UK might be considering winding back wind power ... but in 2016 wind power delivered more electricity than coal power in 2016 ... here ...

As for Germany? An alternative fax from 17th November 2016 which can be googled to get more ...

Nobody said that transitioning to new energy regimes would be easy, but it doesn't help when climate science denialism and hysteria about greenies saturates the reptiles of Oz on a daily basis ...

It probably doesn't help much that the sell-off to the private sector has made it easy for energy owners to make out like bandits as governments try to work out how to manage the transition in Australia ...

In all this, the simple-minded, simplistic musings of the likes of Major Mitchell mark him as an enemy of the people ...

Luckily there are well-remembered ways to spot these enemies ...

Sadly, the pond has had to hold over its weekly awarding of the Order of Lenin to the Major Mitchell this week.

The professors are still discussing in arcane detail whether such an award is appropriate for an enemy of the people ...

They're consternated at the notion that the Major Mitchell idea that you can keep on taking pot shots at everyone in populist Trumpian style, while purporting not to be a populist ...

As a result, a few Trumpian cartoons have been rustled up to fill in the gap ...

  1. Re the cartoon of Trump the Triumphant, the essay by Andrew Sullivan titled The Madness of King Donald provides some extra contextual analysis of the political significance of the now ubiquitous image of the trumpenfuhrer's engram that has now been implanted into everyone's brain.
