In which the pond checks out a couple of pandering quislings, thanks to the lizards of Oz ...

The pond feels the need to place on record the excellent ongoing work of the Oz editorialist in the matter of 18C ...

Anal-gazing, navel-obsessed fluff-gathering it might be, but they do it with such repetitive dedication and it should be applauded, even if it has the numbing effect of curare on the pond ... a potent drug which caused even the immortal Sherlock some difficulties ...

“If the child were pricked with one of those Oz editorials dipped in curare or some other devilish drug, it would mean death if the venom were not sucked out.”

The best way to foster harmony, they seem to suggest?

The only way the reptiles will shut up their yammering and their foot-stamping?

We must give them the right to talk about uppity blacks and wogs in the way they like, or the unharmonious wailing and agitation will continue until the twelfth of never ...

Never mind, this day the pond is interested to pursue the work of quislings, the forelock tuggers and fellow travellers who write columns assuring us that all is for the best in the best of all Trumpian worlds ...

No doubt back in the day, there were plenty of columns assuring the world that Herr Hitler just needed a little time to settle into his job and then we might see what grand feats he was capable of ...

Which reminds the pond, since a fine must be deposited in the Godwin's Law swear jar, how it was commonly remarked at the time at the way that Hitler's leadership team, while carrying on about the Ayran ideal, were as plug-ugly a bunch of ordinary physical specimens as might be found doing the rounds ...

It reminded the pond of that cruel snap of Bannon doing Dorian Gray in reverse in a public way, in a Colbert routine about his qualifications for his new office, enabling white nationalism to rule the roost ...

But that too is a sideshow, because there are a couple of prime quislings who've done the reptile rounds these past few days ...

First up ...

Now the surest sign of a quisling without the first clue is the use of the construction "we could well get" ...

We could of course get well stuffed ...

We could well say that Alan Dupont doesn't have a clue, which is surely the first qualification for writing for the reptile Oz ...

Yes, the Donald's already kicked the supine Malware and the asbestos lawyer in the teeth,  and into supine submission, but lordy lordy, doesn't Malware know how to keep on smiling ...

But back to the explanation of how everything is for the best in the best of all possible worlds ... though it goes without saying that Monsieur Dupont wasn't one of the unfortunates trapped in an airport in the past few days while going about their lawful business ... who could well get their rights trampled on ...

Now what's the bet Dupont will make reference to Bannon being a naval officer? Careful, don't splurge on a long shot ...

Yep, there you go. By golly, Dupont would have been handy to have around in the 1930s explaining "If Herr Hitler's universe turns out to be as disastrous as alarmists fear, the self-correcting system called democracy will ensure his political castration long before his final demise ..."

No doubt in much the same way it prevented him from getting elected, and conducting the nomination of Supreme Court judges like an applauding reality TV show

In the meantime, Donald Trump will make possibly up to three or more, appointments to the US Supreme Court, as heavily politicised a body as any banana republic in the world.

And now with the appointment of an originalist, the strongest arm of the three power points in the US will revert to a fundamentalist conservatism which will wreak political havoc on the land as the activist judges go about their business ... though no doubt there will be a few happy naval officers celebrating the way the country can return to slavery, in the way it originally was ...

In this originalist universe, there are none so dumb as the Duponts, anxious to pour oil on the water, apparently not troubling to think what might happen if they should be swimming nearby when the water catches fire ...

Meanwhile, late yesterday, the reptiles offered up another breach of the Times' paywall, in a bid to ensure that there was a seemly flow of the same simplistic pandering ...

Phillips, Greg Hunt her here, is a genuine weirdo, and a top notch quisling, deploying the same placatory Dupont language, along with an abundance of dissembling misrepresentations ...

Thanks for that, but we have domestic quislings to help us to understand ...

Meanwhile, a bunch of terrorists, predominantly from Saudi Arabia, knocked off some 3,000 Americans, and Saudi Arabia and its Wahhabist fundamentalism isn't on the list.

Sssh, not a word about business interests trumping Phillips' nonsense.

The pond's sentence for Phillips? She's only to travel in a car with head covered provided it's driven by men ...

As for the rest, note how we must all imbibe the soma and stay calm ...

Oh why don't you just fuck off, you dissembling, hypocritical pandering bitch from hell ...

Well, if you talk about nauseating hypocrisy, while at the same time being nauseatingly hypocritical, do you really expect a calm, measured response?

The only good thing to be said about this is that the reptiles have once again breached the paywall, so short are they of local quislings to do a bit of pandering ...

As for Phillips, it is of course impossible to argue with bigots or fools, and pointless to boot... but at the same time, it is difficult to stay calm, as the lickspittle quislings go about their work and the terrorists achieve their perfect goal ... a man who makes a large proportion of the world think that he and the United States has it in for them ...

And given that Steve Bannon, naval officer, does, are they wrong to think it?

Are they wrong to think all of the Donald's demonising of Islamics on his way to power doesn't have something to do with what's going on now?

Please note, pandering quislings, this offer may  now be varied at a moment's notice, and without any managerial ability to actually run a coherent administration...

  1. Heh, it's such fun ennit. Here's just a few things that jumped into the forebrain:

    1. "The flexibility and opportunism he [Trump] displayed in business ..."

That's six (count 'em) bankruptcies he "displayed" in business. What's the American foreign policy equivalent of a bankruptcy ?

    1. "... a military balance in the pacific which has tilted sharply towards China ...".

Hmm, now China has all of one aircraft carrier, the second-hand, slightly refitted Liaoning. The USA has 10 full-scale aircraft carriers and another 9 aircraft carrying ships. Wau, that's some "tilt" towards China !. Fascinatingly, China has also "acquired four retired aircraft carriers for study, the Australian HMAS Melbourne and the ex-Soviet carriers Minsk, Kiev and Varyag."

The Chinese want to study the ex-British ship HMAS Melbourne to learn how to build an aircraft carrier ? Perhaps we're just lucky that the Chinese are even more idiotic than the Americans (besides, Melbourne's sister ship HMAS Sydney was retired from aircraft carrier duties because its flight deck "spontaneously" warped. Yep, that's some kind of lesson to be learned, I guess). Incidentally Melbourne was originally commissioned in 1943 (launched 1945) as HMS Majestic. Yes, that's into the British RN before the end of WWII, served as HMAS Melbourne from 1969 to 1982 and was then scrapped.

    3. "...discovery by the FBI that several dozen Iraqui terrorists had infiltrated the US via the refugee programme."

Oh yeah ? Well where are they ? Was it Iraqui or Saudi terrorists who were responsible for 9/11 ? What have these "several dozen" Iraqui terrorists done since arriving in the USA ? Has anybody noticed ?

    1. Jeez GB what's with all this rational argument stuff which could well get us confused and thinking? What's the use of a good argument with facts and all that sort of nonsense when we could def get harmony and everything would be well with the world when we get rid of that 18C leftard nonsense and can all speak freely and not have to be considerate of other people and their bloody stupid feelings?

    2. Exactly Anon. GB, the pond must seriously question your addiction to logic and rationality and facts, when it's well known that alternative reality is just as viable.

It will do you harm ... please line up with the reptiles for a double dose of the kool aid ...

    3. Geez, DP, can't I just blame it on my parents and just claim that I'm a genetically deprived idiot savant who doesn't really know what he's doing ?

Isn't that what Trump is ?
