In which the pond spends quality weekend time with the dog botherer and Dame Groan, with inevitable consequences ...

The pond happened to catch Laura Tingle speaking to the always interrupting, hectoring and 'reading back to his guests their own work' Gundy one on RN this week - remember the pond's campaign to turn RN's current healthy * rating into an eviscerated disemboweled degutted * rating begins in the new year - and she unwisely pronounced the onion muncher as pitiful and pathetic, as his blackmailing ploys and pleas for a job grow more desperate and screechy ...

Who could argue, but at the same Tingle also pronounced the Abbott influence on Australian politics as happily dead and buried, departed, shuffled off the mortal coil, no more than a ghost in the attic or a mad bat in the belfry...

Or words to that effect. The pond knew at once that the Tingle had tingled - as the millionaire socialist who supported Assange and so his assiduous efforts to get the Donald into power likes to joke - far too early in the Xmas silly season ...

For a start, the capacity of feral mindless simpletons to keep on using the onion muncher as a stick with which to beat Malware should never be underestimated ... thereby giving fresh hope to the delusional onion muncher and his dreams of a return to glory... and if the pond wanted a classic example of a feral simpleton, why look further than the dog botherer?

Now of course DOnald Trump's victory shows nothing at all about the onion muncher and the 2016 election, except the infinite capacity of simpletons to brood about the past, and construct alternative universes of the scifi "what if?" kind.

No doubt the Nazi defeat in the second world war shows that the Americans could have won in Vietnam, but only a fool of the dog botherer kind would bother to write it up ...

And what was with that DOnald in the google splash?

Well it turned out that the logarithms were only transcribing the reptiles DOing a DO DOnald DO DAh DOo DOo ...

Coulda, woulda, shoulda, and in the end even the dog botherer has to squib it, and admit that the whole Abbott gambit is just a pathetic attempt at an angle, at an opening, down there with fool's mate and the immortal line "We will never know ..."

How the reptiles pay for this sort of enormous dullard stupidity, penny a word guff, remains a mystery, but the pond guesses we will never know ...

As for the actual DOnald, it's true that he is already looking and sounding and acting as stupidly as the onion muncher once did, and some stupid media outlets are celebrating the Carrier matter, as if it was sensible business for Mike Pence to hang around in the Indiana governorship just so he could rubber stamp a big cash bribe to the manufacturer and so make the Donald look good ...

We've already been down this path when it comes to car manufacturing and white goods in South Australia, and a few American outlets were wise to the game ...

That WaPo story is here, and the Politico story is here,  and that links to a Washington Examiner ! story denouncing the deal here as bad policy with at least $7 million in corporate welfare involved ... cronyism and Wall street live!

The pond feels like it should put a ! mark whenever quoting right wing ratbags shocked at where their populism has taken them, a bit like it should put in a ! mark whenever fools like the dog botherer try to breathe life into the corpse of their onion munching monarchist knight ... when all they really want to do is keep bashing Malware over the head and push him further to the right ... because, you know, climate science is a Chinese conspiracy using corrupt American data ...

Speaking of the political/media class, which naturally includes all the reptiles,  the long, the short, the tall and the groaning, no matter how they try to pretend they are mere mortal commoners at one with the lumpenproletariat and Tamworthians, Dame Groan is also in fine form this weekend, eviscerating Malware ...

Oh that's tempting. The pond might just interrupt its time with the dullard dog botherer to get a whiff of Dame Groan in full cry ... proposing that Malware has his own planet, just like planet Janet, though without the virtue of a rhyme ...

Actually that reminds the pond, it was the onion muncher who started the childcare nonsense running, so that at end of year the pond might propose it as one of the great contradictions of the year ...

Budget emergency, deficit crisis, national credit rating in peril, so let's throw oodles of money at child care ...

Oh there's certainly better ones, as the pond has noted, but by golly, it's not a bad contender ...

And now it seems appropriate to toddle back to the simpleton dog botherer to finish off the last gobbet of chunky croweater goodness ...

What's there to say about a climate denialist delusional who keeps harping on and on? And wants to maintain the rage and the Islamic extremists v. the Christian crusaders clash of civilisations running when anybody with half an ounce of sense just wants all the fundamentalists to fuck off ...

But if they did, that would mean the pond couldn't perform its basic duty of running the rest of Dame Groan, ranting and railing at Malware, and that would be almost indecent ... so here we go, here we go ...

Well the pond thought it would be an epic rant, and how satisfying it is, to see Malware clobbered from the right, the left, the middle and ...

... oh no, there's a cry to bring back the onion muncher from the doofus dog botherer sitting in the cheap seats in the stalls ... because if all we've got is climate denialism, copper dial up broadband and incompetence, at least we can get a knighthood as a bonus ...

Ah well, the world's going to hell in a handbasket, in no small part thanks to the efforts of the climate denialist reptiles, so all the pond can suggest is a cartoon, preferably a Pope if you want that tinge if papal infallibility, and more of that here ...

Scrub that chant "who let the dog botherer out?" Who let that bloody donkey disguised as a horse out? Why is it that ideologues of the ratbag onion munching right (and now Trumpian) kind always produce the biggest managerial fuck-ups and the most splendid rorting of the government's coffers? We will never know ...

  3. "The contemporary age of hyper-fascination"........WTF. That would be the dog bothering fascination with contemporary onion munching types, which appears to have become quite contagious for anyone working down at the herpetarium.
Gargling with a pickled onion sure is all the go down in the bunker, but salt and vinegar is its own reward for those fuckers.

  4. Is it my failing eyesight or is Turnbull getting smaller? He started out like a plump cake of Palmolive Gold and now all those baths he has taken seems to have to reduced him to a sliver which could slip down the plug hole at any time.

And thankyou for reading Pravda-in-Oz for us Dot. I do think you are being too diligent though as the paper produces the same column daily but under different by-lines.

I had to laugh today though when I read somewhere that Grace Collier seems to have moaned to the twitter sphere that she never gets invited to parties at the Lodge 'despite everything I do'.

    Changing the subject ......

I was amused/annoyed to hear one of my Aye Boy Coy people refer to Fidel Castro as Fiddle Castro as if he were in an Irish band. The voices! Is there a secret government plot to drive people to turn off the national broadcaster by inflicting upon us women who sound like Minnie Mouse with infected adenoids and men with nasty nasal accents which make them sound like blowies in a Mortein induced death spiral.

    1. The pond wouldn't have been quite so cruel about Michael Mackenzie Miss pp, but your point is taken, seconded and carried on the voices ...

  5. At the start of her stream of unconsciousness, Dame Groan pronounces that: "The Prime Minister is becoming an expert at seeming rather than doing."

"is becoming an expert at seeming rather than doing ??" Oh well, if you're as slow and slight as Dame G, I guess it might have taken you 20 or 30 years to realise that. I really should try to be more understanding of the seriously cognitively impaired, shouldn't I.

    But then I encountered this:
"The deficit for this financial year .... is expected to be about $37billion ... and amounts to 25.8% of gross domestic product."
    and
"... the budget deficit could shrink to $6billion by 2019-20 or 25.2 per cent of GDP."

And that I don't get at all. Australia's GDP was AUD$1.62trillion dollars in 2015. Yes, that really is 1,620,000,000,000 Australian dollars but the Dame wants us to believe that somehow, AUD$37 billion - yes, that's 37,000,000,000 Australian dollars - somehow amounts to 25.8% of Australian GDP ? (It is actually 2.28% of the 2015 GDP).

The ragtag reptile rabble just get worse and worse, and no end in sight.

    1. Indeed they do GB.

It's been a cracking week even by their skittish standards. First the grand cru nonsense by Gary Johns, and now Kenny asking himself "Can I achieve a lower level than I have managed to date?" and coming up smelling of roses.

You could send a drone squad out all over terra firma seeking the one writer so pin-headed as to draw associations between Trump's success and Abbott's career truncation. But save your drone dollars for we all knew, all along there ia one person absent enough to rescusitate the comedy of Abbott possibly winning an election.

We are not worthy to read satire this funny courtesy of Dot. Really, we are not.

      Ho, ho, ho!

  6. You may be right there, VC, we may well be privileged - instead of "Upper Class Twit of the Year" we get "Reptile Ratbag of the Farthing-Dreadful Press" and no, I can't remember ever, even at my worst, ever doing anything to deserve that.
