Day 82 of MUC and day 35 of MOC, and let us speak of those who dare to speak of the things they dare not speak of ... over and over and over again ...

Well we know what those stars mean ... the dog whistle of the bully boy nationalist ... and as for rationalist?

Surely the emotive nonsense the dog botherer routinely scribbles gives the lie to that. He was at it again, supplying guaranteed fodder for a meditative pond weekend ...

Not only that, he's a bear with a very limited and repetitive brain ...because it seems we dare not speak of what we must dare not speak of, over and over again ...

Yes, we couldn't dare speak their name back in December 2015, and we still can't dare to speak their name, except that the dog botherer keeps on speaking and naming in a way that would be tedious to behold, if it wasn't so astonishingly lame ...

Strange that they couldn't find a bombing in Iraq as the illustration ...or perhaps a saviour posed next to a "mission accomplished" sign.

But back to the present, and the current daring not to speak of by name, which is code for 'where's the onion muncher, so that we might continue to trade off on paranoia, fear and loathing?'

Oh there he is, except these days he's called the pastie Hastie ...

Indeed, indeed, and we shouldn't forget that there are a bunch of patriotic, nationalistic crusaders, with creationist tendencies, intending to lather up tensions and foment difficulties, and blather on endlessly about the wrongs suffered by Australians, while keen to act as deputy sheriff ...

Remind the pond, why did we join in the Iraq war in 2003? What good has been produced?

Never mind, speaking of creationist crusaders ... so dumb that they can't understand the politicisation of the army should be a no no ...

Ah, crusader creationist values, and the right to ponce around like little Mussolinis in the guise of politicians ...

Of course the simple solution would be to keep the military politically neutral, at least in its public profile. That was a hard won lesson, but it's one that the dog botherer and his ilk are reluctant to learn.

It applies to both sides of the aisle ... and since the pond didn't get the chance to show off another who doesn't have a clue, here he is in his billboard glory ...

That's here and why did they go up in the first place. But it makes a fine twin set with this goose. Hmm, how to skew the story so that it seems that Hastie is being persecuted? Luckily, the pond has a reptile to hand for that job ...

Defence is slammed?

Actually James slammed Hastie and he slammed O'Neill and the pond is happy to slam the lot of them... because the trading off and preening and posing suited militarism is one of the finer distinctions we have with those countries that have tin pot dictators at their helm ...

But back to the dog botherer for a final burst of special pleading ... and what's the bet the talk will turn to emotive blather and general hysteria and a generous dollop of Muslim bashing...

Oh fuck, sharia law ... because they're going to put sharia law in place.

Instead, it seems we should become running lap dogs to creationist crazies who have the same sort of repressive agenda about gays, women and the whole damn thing ...

Cultural cowardice, oh eminent rationalist? Take a shower, and let's talk about creationism and dominionism some day, and what that means for the form of government in this country ...

Never mind, there's always Rowe, and more Rowe here, and there's always Pope, and more Pope here, and what a chance to do some equal opportunity offending while parading a couple more issues while outside of uniform...

  1. Our spooks, earlier this year telephoned a number of Government members directly and advised them to not use EXACTLY the same rhetoric the light weights Kenny, Bolt & Devine have been using for years. And that's why ASIO will never keep us safe and our daughters are merely weeks away from forcibly donning the burqa, inshalla.

  2. Hi Dorothy,

"For 15 years our defence personnel have battled Islamist extremists in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria."

I wonder if Kenny could apply his 'unashamedly rationalist approach' to considering why there are now substantially more Islamist extremists in those countries then there were 15 years ago.

If he was basing his opinions and actions on reason and knowledge rather than on an emotional response, he would have to conclude that invading countries and bombing their citizens creates more extremism not less.

    1. Yes, DW, but will the oh so very "rationalist" Kenny ever admit that invading Iraq, if not Afghanistan, is actually a very blatant form of extremism itself.

But who can we credit for that ? Not "Christianity" - that oh so very peaceful religion - can we ? Maybe then just radical American (and Australian and British) RWNJ 'extremism' ? Then again, not everybody that favoured those actions - eg Hillary Clinton - were identified as RWNJs, were they.

It is a puzzle, I'm afraid.

    2. Has anyone asked Malware what he thinks about the ADF being used as electoral fodder?

  3. If Leahy doesn't want Sharia law in this country, then he should talk to Pauline Hanson about it.

    That should fix it.
