Day 65 of MUC and day 18 of MOC, and after defending the humble tomato, the pond dives into the mugwump swamp full to overflowing with Devine bile ...

Talk about a woefully inaccurate headline, Terrorists ...

It should have read Johnny Depp Defames Tomato ...

Oh isn't he just so cute ...

And not half as weird ...

But enough of frivolity, time for the remedying of a serious injustice.

Yes, and it would be right about now that church bigots and homophobes should apologise for the way that they helped maintain persecution and criminality around the mere reality of being gay ... and have done so for thousands of years ...

Sorry, the pond is inclined to day dreaming and delusions ... the notion that the heads of fundamentalist Islamics, angry Sydney Anglicans, enraged evangelicals and the Pope would say they're sorry for their shocking history is so far-fetched and fanciful as to question the pond's grasp on reality.

So how did the Murdochians celebrate this historic event on their front page in good old Melbourne town?

Sorry, you must have blinked ...

What a disgrace News Corp, home of bigots and homophobes, is ...

Speaking of bigots, the Daily Terrorist served up a double dose of the Devine this day ...

Is there high comedy in the notion that a fundamentalist Catholic bigot might offer "calmer ground", said calmer ground presumably featuring any nearby greenies hanging from the nearest lamp post?

Never mind, it only took a few lines to get the pond going ...

Oh for fuck's sake, she's not posing as a haven of tolerance towards gay rights organisations, as a shining example to homophobic, bigoted Islamic fundamentalists, is she?

Seems so, and it sent the pond off in search of other Devine problems. It turned out the only problem was how to fit it all in - the bigotry, the bile, the prejudice - and keep proceedings within the length of an Andy Warhol movie about the Empire State building ...

Phew, we just had to cram all teh hate into a smaller space ...

Then there was this ... remember those unfortunate dinner parties where an obnoxious loudmouth turns up and begins berating the gay at the dinner table?

Uh huh, so let's get on with the dinner party ...

Well we can at least show the Devine in splendid, homophobic bigoted form taking that second bite, that second swipe...

And though all that the Devine now pretends she has a problem with Islamic fundamentalists having a problem with gay rights organisations ...

Well just for the record, here's the rest of the Devine's rant today, supposedly offering calmer ground, in her usual Xmas drinks way...

Of course we could all make the task easier for them ... by just showing that we're inclined to be different ... say on the matter of being sympathetic to gays and gay rights ...

But that'd be just too hard for a bigot intent on disrupting Xmas drinks and repeatedly shouting at totalitarian gays in her columns like some Nazi on a drunken bile-laden bender ...

As for that other Devine piece, the pond refuses to even go there, as she spitefully attempts to lather up a car crash and turn it against Bill Shorten.

Even though the pond has no time for Bill Shorten, it was pitiful, and it turned out frustrated, when the families involved refused to join in the ghoulish News Corp dance of hate ...

All the pond needs to do is note the level of grammar in the splash ...

A woman had involved?

Well she gets it right in the text, but a Ghoulish display?

There's only one ghoul here, and it isn't Bill Shorten.

But it's a good lesson for Islamic fundamentalists. Do it the Devine way. Maintain the hate, the bile, the fundamentalist capacity to see things in black and white, with no shade of humanity or greys ...

Splash it on, lather it all over ...
.

Is there an alternative?

Of course there is ... the humble tomato so cruelly defamed this day ...

    1. Oh yeah, Anony, and especially the bit at the end where all the tomatoes are being driven mad by the 'Puberty Love' song, except for just one who's wearing sound-cancelling headphones and has to be done over by holding up the printed lyrics to him instead.

      Woot !
