Day 42, and it's time to talk tribal and favs ...

The pond understands that politics is entertainment. How else to explain the rise of the Donald?

How else to explain the pond's fascinated delight at the cavorting of the domestic reptiles?

It's also tribal, which is why the reptiles are always checking their territorial rights and who is up whom?

A little while ago we had this ...

That's political reporting? The onion muncher goes for a surf and he and Malware have a good chat?

And so it went on today ...

The parrot and Malware are touching beaks? Soon they'll be like this?

Name the movie and you too can confirm a wasted life.

But perhaps the most useless report of all came recently courtesy the reptiles ...

Talk about mindless stupidity ... come on down mindless Christine Lacy in desperate search for an angle ...

Yes, fancy having to settle for the Treasurer on budget night, especially when he doesn't rate a mention on the broadcaster's list of favourite interviewees.

Make do!

Only the Treasurer on budget night! Will the shame and the infamy live forever?

The continuing infantilisation of reptile reporting couldn't get much lower, could it, especially as Lacy's story was blessed with an illustration:

Yes, it passes for an attempt at click bait, never mind how tragic and pathetic it is, as Lacy heads beyond the valley of the gossip ...

Now at one point this piece was deemed worthy of a position at the top of the reptile digital rotating stories ...

Did it get any better when the pond headed off to check out the dog botherer's effort this day, ostensibly to do with the ABC?

How stupid of the pond to ask ...

The ABC's just an excuse to do a little more Triggs bashing, little Timmeh having set the pace this day at the Daily Terror ...

Oh dear, should we all have a fainting fit?

This from a dog botherer who couldn't stand a robust image of him and a dog ...

Never mind, on with the mansplaining ...

No doubt the dog botherer thought it was a clever segue to jump from a consideration of border matters to the trivial question of a font.

It would have been interesting to get his perspective on a man so frustrated with his lot that he burned himself to death ...

But then the pond is deluded, expecting substance when personalities, the tribal, and the trivial are conflated and called news with opinion ...

Ah well, all that's left are memes ...

And if in Mersey, don't buy The Sun or The Times either ...

    1. So someone has wasted their lives! And what about that lean to the right both the birds show so well?

    2. Sauropsids have been around for over 320 million years and from about 252 mya up to 66 mya they were the big guys of the planet, dominating everything else. So of course they "leaned right", T-Rex was Earth's first libertarians.

Then they mostly died out. So it goes.

  3. Barnaby hits the jackpot again. As well as getting the needle stuck on 'disgusting bottom dwelling mud-sucking creatures' he manages to bray "CAARP!" at least 10 times, whilst smirking at the opposition.

    1. Carp is, well, FOREIGN. And those that eat carp are, well, foreigners. That's all we need to know.
