Day 11 and the class warfare begins thanks to the Terrorists and Malware and Arfur ...

From time to time the pond has to acknowledge the United States' political system as the world leader in loonacy ...

But there's still plenty of room for parochial pride ...

After all, while the Americans have a vulgarian of the first water to celebrate, Oz now has its very own toff, a rough equivalent of a Cameronian Eton chap, and of late the debate has begun to slip into the turf of class warfare ... viz Rowe, and more Rowe here ...

The reptiles were slavering at the way the prolix ponce had spent his own cash on the drapes ...

What's a little loose change between chums?

But here's where the danger signs began to show.

The Daily Terror, usually a hotbed of radical far right activism, began to show signs of socialist pique and a disdain for the toff.

Getting caught between Mike Baird and the eastern suburbs toff put the reptiles in a hard place between a hot public rock and private schools ...

Now it doesn't get more politically bizarre than this.

Usually this sort of carry-on is the reserve of old-fashioned types like Albo re-tweeted...

Or other tweeting online activists here ...

But it was the Terrorist reptiles who prepared the blackboard themselves, and it was one of those newfangled greenie ones ...

And the Terrorists didn't stop there ... they kept carrying on because their local pet had aired some doubts about the plan to cut federal funding of public schools, while merrily still funding private ...

Oh it's all soft core socialism at the moment, with much talk of trust and of "concerns" ...

But the readership recognised the dog whistle and responded with dangerously radical talk that made the pond despair at the Marxist tendencies of the readership ...

Ah the cries and the lamentations, and the cartoons ... and more Pope here ...

Stexit!

It doesn't get much better than this, all the turmoil and the agitation ...

And then there was the matter of good old Arfur ...

Every one a go-er, and every property developer doing their best to help the NSW Liberals ...

Now everyone expects a lot of hate from an obsessive compulsive professional Malware hater of the Bolter kind, to the point where the Bolter even links to a Fairfax story ...

But the reptiles of Oz have also been busy, publishing a list of the donors and today drawing attention to Arfur's suffering ...

Now to be fair to the chief stenographer, she and her companion did immediately rush off to Nick Greiner for comment ...

Yes, who better than a man who worked for big tobacco so that thousands might endure painful, slow, long suffering miserable deaths to explain it was all the fault of the system, and how outrageous it was that in NSW property developers were prevented from feathering their nests even more lavishly than they currently do ...

The pond is of course prepared to assume that developers put cash into the Liberal party purely out of an intrinsic desire to promote the public good, in much the same way as Greiner promoted public health.

Put it another way ...

Meanwhile, thanks to all the uproar and the smoke and mirrors and the lighting effects and the fake thunderclaps from the wings ....

Keep working lads... it's almost possible to forget that the budget is fast approaching and the talk of a DD hasn't gone away, it's just disappeared beneath the current flurry of Turnbullian floozies ...

Could Turnbull make an even bigger hash of it than Abbott?

Well it's only a parochial hope,  a quest for antipodean pride - we didn't invade the country just for the pleasure of a culture ware or two - even if few can hope to trump the Trump with a genuine antipodean Joker ...

But the pond can feel an incipient swelling of pride, because these days the reptiles are in genuine confusion and chaos about their chosen one ... caught between a readership interested in the public, whomever they might be, and an eastern suburbs ponce apparently as out of touch with reality as the north shore monarchist was ...

Why someday they might even wake up to the fraudband known as Malware, as sundry cartoonists and Tandberg kick the class warfare can down the road ... (and more Tandberg here)

Sssh, don't mention the drapes ...

But the best talking in tongues feast is yet to come, and so to a Moir cartoon celebrating the impending talking in tongues and numbers, and more Moir here ...

    2. Yair. :-)

I was thinking that, in essence, Arfur is using the old tried and true political defence: "No, not me. I'm too stupid to be crooked."

  2. Never fear, private citizen lobbyists and generous corporate friends, the absolute freedom of dollar-democracy is almost at invisible-hand! Senator Patto is on the case!:

"7 Return income taxing powers to the states
23 End mandatory disclosures on political donations"

    1. It's the weekend and you torture the pond with this sort of nightmare? There goes another sleepless weekend ... thank the long absent lord that climate science is but a chimera and the reef has never been in better shape ...

    2. They are just so precious, aren't they, the IPA Trinity: Roskam, Paterson, Berg.

But I have a 76th idea: Privatize the IPA ... and the Menzies Research Centre and ... (feel free to add to the list).

  3. Thunder sheet? Galloping steed? Is this a subtle reference to Luke Foley?

Seems these days uncredited off-stage sound effects would be the only way you would hear anything from the opposition parties in the reptile-media.
