Please, a little empathy and a subscription for the dog botherer ...

It's been a day of tears at the pond ...

No, not the confirmation of the worst kept secret political stratagem in recent times ... nor the prospect of the reptiles in a state of high indignation, dudgeon, anticipation and fury for the next 15 weeks.

No, it came after the pond's sobbing along with the Oreo at the persecution of white men ... then clicking on the dog botherer to discover he was sobbing crocodile tears for the Fairfaxians, though mainly as a way that he could smote the ABC.

All the same, the pond was next incredibly moved while watching the media watcher watching the media ...

The dog botherer is in stunning, exemplary form ... so let us not dilly dally, let us cut to the mighty chase ...

Now on a minor point, the pond was a little disturbed. Surely the dog botherer should have cancelled his subscription the very minute that Paul "the magic water, Krispy Kreme, sourdough junket man" Sheehan was suspended ... There's loyalty, and then there's outrage ...

And naturally the pond concurs with the notion that Fairfax's woes are the fault of the ABC.

Now this must be phrased in the manner of "it would be foolish to blame the woes of Fairfax or anyone else on the ABC alone", though the dog botherer is adept at dog whistling, and the pond was immediately alert to the reality that it was indeed the fault of the ABC.

After all, the ABC is the reason everything's wrong in the world, except when it's the fault of the BBC, so QED, the ABC must take the blame for Fairfax ...

Now perverse souls will probably try to blame others - the Graudian, Huff, Buzzfeed, aggregators of the kind the pond uses, finding both the ABC and Fairfax irredeemably quaint - or the intertubes itself, or the youff of today, since if it's not the ABC's fault, surely it's the fault of the screen-obsessed youffs wandering around oblivious to the world while they waste their time on all sorts of fangled apps - but let's face it, the dog botherer has nailed it in one ...

Who wouldn't want to pay a motza for all the valuable stories that gushed forth from Fairfax this very morning?

And it was even more impressive when viewed in the Beta mode the Fairfaxians are currently promoting ...

More pictures! Oh and plenty of room on either side for the advertising of the day ...

As for the ABC, it was easy to see why the news section poses such a threat to Fairfax ...

Plenty of big pictures!

With all this in mind, the pond returned to the final thoughts of the dog botherer, and what a delight they were ...

Yes, Fairfax gives their customers the news and information they crave ... the click-baiting, trolling Paul Sheehan for one ...

And if you don't pay for Paul Sheehan, why fie, your empathy is empty ...

Indeed, why not subscribe to the lizards of Oz, and support the dog botherer and the Chairman and all the unfortunate persecuted hapless white males in the lifestyle to which they've become accustomed?

And let's have no more talk of government funding please. If that keeps going, the next thing you know, this kind of neo-Marxist, Muslim friendly nonsense will be found everywhere in the land ...

So much for the pond's plan to join Cory, George and teh Donald in a world-wide banning of teh Muslims ...

Just do it.

No Nike, you shouldn't sue the dog botherer for infringing a trademark. The dog botherer merely quotes it to show the profundity of running shoes. Swoosh ...

Well it passes for private enterprise journalism amongst crow eaters, never reluctant to dip their beaks into the government trough ... (do crows eat their own?)

Of course Fairfax managed to give credit where credit was really due ...

Thank you DFAT.

Now let's see what your empathy and subscription will get you ...

There's plenty more compiled at the Graudian here - access is free - and thanks to Twitter for making the thoughts of the Chairman generously available ... for free ...

No wonder the pond shed tears of undiluted joy this Monday ... with the thoughts of the Chairman so freely available, what need of the dog botherer?

And so to a candidate for your urgent consideration ...

A haha a heee heee, a HOO HOOO HO!

If Chris Kenny is going to write one column of "love" points a year, and regurgitate it again and again because the editor doesn't actually read his output, why would anyone subscribe?

Is there a reason why The Australian has such a tiny readership? It's the real world isn't it Chris?

  5. "It also conditions the marketplace to expect something for nothing"

Or, in the case of the scribblings of Kenny & Co, nothing for something.

  7. The dirty secret of conservative journalism is that little of it constitutes journalism

Well DP has been exposing that for years, but it's nice to know it's finally receiving some recognition.

Hang 'journos' from the nearest lamppost I say. The quicker they are forced to get real jobs the better. Who needs them?

    1. Exactly, exactly and exactly Nony. Most entertaining link. Reading through it, replacing the word "Trump" with "Abbott" is a very fun exercise - makes you realise that Abbott has even failed at impressing the nutjobs as well as normal decent folks.

      Thanks a million.
