In which the reptiles stand firm with the Donald, and it's coal, coal, coal for Australia ...

Of late the pond has seen it as a vital duty to draw attention to important information contained within climate denialist central, which is to say the reptiles of Oz.

Now simple-minded folk have been distracted by the Donald:

Jon Stewart can't believe his luck:

Bumper stickers are everywhere as the Donald soars in the polls:

But frankly the pond hasn't got into the Donald, or hamster hair jokes, or the rest of it - it's such a spectacular and obvious case of trolling - and in any case there's more important work to be done.

For example, let's admire how the reptiles go about their work apologising for Big Coal (by golly, if only Big Pharma could recognise the business opportunity the reptiles offer):

Yep, here's coal co-existing peacefully with farming and the sweet little hamlet of Bulga in the Hunter Valley:

Oh dear, sorry, there's the pond being emotional again, and even claiming it comes from the north west slopes and plains and mighty Tamworth, once the centre of the known universe, at least until Barners decided to ship all the meat processing jobs to China ...

... when really the pond should be astonished by the charms of the mountains and valleys of the moon, and appalled at the aesthetic hideousness of wind turbine farms.

And coal power is so friendly to climate science too, without any impact whatsoever on geopolitical tensions!

Do go on, siren song singing reptiles, remind us that it's coal, coal, coal for Australian and the worrrld ...

Indeed, indeed, and just to tie it altogether, it's good to have a reminder why the reptiles of Oz no doubt think the Donald is just the right man to be POTUS:

Yep, no geopolitical tensions there, none at all ...

  1. Donald Trump: “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”

Maurice Newman: “The international body’s real agenda is a new world order under its control….This is not about facts or logic…It’s about a new world order under the control of the UN. It is opposed to capitalism and freedom.”

Donald and Maurice must have been non-identical twins conjoined at the brain. Separation was successful but brain damage was unavoidable.

    1. Yep.

Not a brain cell between them but Don did get the hair.

Poor old Maurice. All he gets is Tony :(

  2. In the light of today's news about Brunhildabronnie's night at the opera and Joe's magnificent legal victory over Fairfax, I'm sure I won't be the first to link to this glorious marxist malarky.

  3. Oh my aching sides!

Just spotted lead story in Oz on-line. Fairfax 'ordered' to pay 15% of Joe Hockey's legal costs.

Hockey has to pay the balance, 85%.

    Fairfax of course are crowing.

  4. Oh Dot!

Can so much goodness be occurring in such a delectable sequence?

Can you imagine the memes regarding having a Treasurer who wastes our time in court defending himself, and manages to turn a win into a huge personal loss?

What have the good people of Australia done to have the LNP expose themselves as abject gooses again and again? Really, do we deserve this much enjoyment in the working week?

I mean god help us, Labor actually seem to have arrived at a policy which will wedge Abbott, and that Alan Jones wearing his oddly fitting greens hat will support.

Loons, loons, all I can see are loons.

    And the view is good.
