Mark Latham, and a conga line of marbles ...

(Above: a Mark Latham self-portrait, found here).

Well it's official at last.

Catholic priests and nuns lead loveless, wooden lives, and lack empathy:

To choose a career ahead of the opportunity of having children? I think having children is the great loving experience of any lifetime and by definition, you haven't got as much love in your life if you make that particular choice. (here)

Thanks Mark Latham.

We're standing by for outrage and shock and horror from the commentariat rushing to attack this sickening assault on the church.

Other current thoughts of dear not to be leader:

I never thought I would write this, but logically I must: the future lies with the green movement, not the Labor movement. (here at The Monthly).

Oops, sorry, what was meant to be said was Latham calls Greens nutters.

"They have some real nutters in their ranks and absolute extremists," Mr Latham told ABC Radio.

As the old saw goes, takes one to know one.

Oh by the way, some people might think Latham was talking about Julia Gillard, but I like to think of the sentiments applying to Mother Teresa and Saint Francis of Assisi. After all the man who gave the world the first Christmas manger scene must truly hate children.

And it goes without saying the Pellist heretics are incredibly wooden and lack empathy ... not to mention Christopher Pearson ...

Meanwhile, the list of publications publishing the thoughts of Latham grow longer, and the black ban with it. The Monthly? Gone ... The AFR? Gone ...

Journalists who give Latham air and access to a microphone like Fran Kelly on ABC radio, ostensibly on a network dedicated to higher thoughts and subtle musings? Gone ...

Ah that's better, peace and quiet on a wooden pond, lacking in empathy for nonsense ...
